Video Editor Needed — YouTube Shorts/Reels Style, AI Avatar Tools (VSL Production)

We produce high-converting video sales letters (VSLs) in the business opportunity space — content that shows everyday people how they can earn money online. We're looking for a video editor whose background is in YouTube Shorts, Reels, or TikTok-style editing — someone who instinctively understands short-attention-span pacing — and can apply that sensibility to longer-form VSLs (20–30 minutes). A core part of this role involves taking a provided avatar and script and bringing it to life using AI video and voice tools, including generating supplementary footage (our main avatar in different scenes/situations, or other characters) to support the story. What You'll Do Edit 2–3 VSLs per month (20–30 minutes each) using Descript, Premiere, or whatever tools you're comfortable with Work from a provided script, avatar, and trained AI voice (via ElevenLabs) to produce a polished final video Use AI tools like Sync.so and Open Art (or similar) to animate the avatar and match lip-sync to the voice track Generate additional AI video footage as needed — placing our avatar in different settings/situations, or creating footage of other supporting characters, to match the script's story Apply short-form editing principles (tight pacing, pattern interrupts, visual hooks) to keep long-form content engaging throughout Sync audio/video, cut dead air, remove filler words, and clean up pacing Apply text overlays, captions, and scene transitions as needed Deliver final edits within 1–3 days of receiving a script Requirements Strong portfolio of YouTube Shorts, Reels, or TikTok-style edits — this is the primary skill we're hiring for Proficiency in at least one professional video editing tool (Descript, Premiere, Final Cut, CapCut, etc.) Hands-on experience with AI avatar/video generation tools such as Sync.so, Open Art, HeyGen, Runway, Kling, or similar — able to generate new scenes/footage, not just edit existing footage Familiarity with ElevenLabs or similar AI voice tools (you don't need to train the voices yourself, but should understand how to work with AI-generated voice tracks) Deep familiarity with American culture — you understand idioms, colloquialisms, regional expressions, and cultural references without needing them explained Native-level comprehension of spoken American English (accent not required, but fluency in understanding is non-negotiable) Reliable, fast, and communicative — turnaround deadlines are firm Nice to Have Prior experience editing VSLs, webinars, or long-form direct response content Familiarity with the business opportunity / make-money-online niche Familiarity with direct response marketing style and tone Experience working with remote marketing teams Deliverables & Schedule 2–3 scripts/month delivered to you Each video due back within 1–3 days of delivery Consistent monthly workload — reliable ongoing engagement for the right person To Apply Please submit: Your Shorts/Reels/TikTok portfolio or samples Any long-form editing samples, if available A note on your experience with AI avatar/footage generation tools (Sync.so, Open Art, HeyGen, Runway, etc.) and AI voice tools (ElevenLabs, etc.) A brief note on your experience with American-market or business-opportunity content Your availability and typical turnaround time
