Video Editor Needed for High-Impact Content Team

We are building a fast-growing science and engineering content brand across social media and are looking for a full-time video editor to join our team. Channels: Instagram / TikTok / Facebook: @lectec.science YouTube: @lectec Role Overview You will be responsible for turning raw footage into polished, high-performing videos. Each week, the team produces: 7 short-form videos (Reels, TikToks, Shorts) 1 long-form YouTube video (6–8 minutes) You will work closely with a team of 3: A senior editor, one writer / talent, and one talent / biz dev. The senior editor will continue handling approximately 20–30% of the editing work, with your responsibility covering the remaining 70–80%. You will collaborate closely to establish a workflow that maintains and improves our current quality and speed. At the start, the senior editor will provide feedback and guidance. Over time, you should be able to independently match the style and quality of our content. You may also contribute to editing long-form content as needed. Responsibilities: Edit 7 short-form videos per week from raw footage Edit or assist with 1 long-form YouTube video per week Maintain high-quality pacing, storytelling, and retention Incorporate motion graphics such as arrows, callouts, and simple animations Collaborate with the team to refine editing workflows and improve output Requirements: Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro (or equivalent) Experience with After Effects (or similar) for motion graphics Ability to edit quickly without sacrificing quality Experience creating engaging short-form content Understanding of pacing, retention, and viral-style editing Growth Opportunity We are growing quickly and are looking for someone who can grow with us. This role has the potential to expand into: Script writing Creative direction Managing other editors Our current senior editor started in a similar role. Compensation" Base: $700–$1100 per month (based on experience) Additional monthly revenue share bonus, our senior editor has doubled his pay with rev share. Depends on monthly channel performance.
