We are looking for a video editor who understands 60-second vertical short-form ads for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts. These are not vlog edits, podcast clips, or random social media reels. We create direct-response ads where one person speaks directly to camera for about 45–60 seconds. The video is usually done in one take. The edit needs to make the message feel sharp, fast, clear, and high-retention without distracting from the speaker. The style we like is modern founder-led direct-response content: Fast pacing Strong captions Clean cuts Tight removal of dead space Subtle zooms and framing changes Simple emphasis graphics Pattern interrupts when needed Strong hook support in the first 3 seconds Professional but not overproduced Native to vertical short-form platforms We do not want cheesy transitions, stock footage overload, random memes, loud effects, or complicated motion graphics that distract from the message. The goal is simple: Make a one-take spoken ad feel more engaging, more premium, and easier to watch all the way through. What you will edit: 45–60 second vertical ads Talking-head / founder-led format Contractor, remodeling, construction, and home improvement marketing content Direct-response ads with a clear hook, problem, offer, and CTA What we need from you: Edit vertical 9:16 videos Add clean, accurate captions Cut dead space and tighten pacing Add subtle zooms, cuts, and visual emphasis Improve retention without making the video feel gimmicky Understand how to edit ads, not just content Deliver polished videos ready for Meta, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Instagram Ideal candidate: You have experience editing short-form ads where the speaker is talking directly to the viewer. You understand pacing, retention, hooks, captions, and how to keep attention without over-editing. You should be comfortable taking a simple one-take video and turning it into a strong paid ad.
