Summary

We're a performance marketing team running paid social (Meta/Instagram), YouTube, and native for several e-commerce brands. We turn winning concepts into video at volume. You get clear briefs, scripts, brand kits, and reference winners. Your job is fast, on-spec execution, not inventing from scratch. Ongoing, steady work for the right person. What you'll do: - Edit short DR video ads (15-60s) for Meta Feed, Stories, and Reels from briefs and existing assets. - Edit long-form video: YouTube ads and VSLs (pre-roll and in-stream, from 30s up to several minutes), plus longer talking-head and shot content. - Produce both ad-style videos (hook-driven) and UGC-style testimonials. - Use AI tools to work faster and cheaper. We want someone who leans into AI. - Deliver correct specs per placement: 4:5 and 9:16 for Meta, 16:9 and 9:16 Shorts for YouTube. Captions included, safe zones respected. Must-haves (we test for these): - You understand platform safe zones cold: what gets cut or covered by the UI in Stories vs Feed vs Reels, and you design around it. This is the number one thing we screen for. - Strong design fundamentals: typography, spacing, hierarchy, clean layout. Text looks intentional, not slapped on. - Range across short and long: you can cut a punchy 15-second hook and also pace a multi-minute video so it holds attention (b-roll to voiceover, clean structure for a VSL or YouTube ad). - Direct-response instinct: the first 1-2 seconds decide everything. - A portfolio of both short paid-social ads and long-form/YouTube work (not weddings or brand films). Send real examples of each. - AI-assisted workflow. Tell us which tools you use. - Clean, well-placed captions and reliable, fast turnaround. Good written English. Nice to have: motion graphics, sound design, and YouTube thumbnail design. To apply: 1. Send 2-3 short paid-social ad samples and 1-2 longer or YouTube samples, with the placement each ran on. 2. List the AI tools in your editing workflow. 3. Tell us your rate and how many short and long edits you can deliver per week. 4. Answer in one sentence: what's the difference between editing for Stories vs the Feed?
