Video Editor + Scriptwriter for Social Media

Job Description: We are looking for a reliable and creative freelancer who can help manage the full video content process for our brand/channel. The ideal candidate should be able to take a content idea and turn it into a strong video script, edit the video professionally, and upload/schedule the final video according to our content calendar. You will be working under my management, so clear communication, timely updates, and the ability to follow instructions are very important. Responsibilities: Research and prepare video scripts that are engaging and conversion-focused Create strong hooks, clear storytelling, and compelling calls to action Edit videos for YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, or other platforms as required Add captions/subtitles, transitions, music, graphics, B-roll, and basic animations where needed Create or suggest thumbnails/titles if required Upload and schedule videos according to the content calendar Optimize videos with titles, descriptions, hashtags, tags, and basic SEO Follow brand guidelines and maintain a consistent style across all videos Communicate regularly and provide updates on progress Requirements: Proven experience in video editing and scriptwriting Ability to write scripts that keep viewers engaged and encourage action Experience with YouTube and/or short-form video platforms Good understanding of video hooks, retention, storytelling, and conversion Comfortable with tools such as Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, Canva, or similar Ability to meet deadlines and work with a schedule Strong English communication skills Must be detail-oriented and open to feedback Preferred Skills: Experience creating content for business, education, personal brand, coaching, spirituality, finance, lifestyle, or similar niches Knowledge of YouTube SEO Ability to repurpose long-form videos into short-form clips Experience managing uploads and scheduling content What We Will Provide: Content ideas and direction Brand guidelines Feedback and approvals Access to required platforms when needed A content schedule to follow What We Expect: We are looking for someone who can work independently but still follow direction. You should be able to understand the goal of each video, create a script that supports that goal, edit the video in a professional and engaging way, and make sure it is uploaded/scheduled correctly. This can become a long-term role if the work quality, communication, and reliability are strong.
