# Short-Form Video Editor for Instagram Reels (8–12 Reels/Month) ## About the Role I’m looking for a reliable long-term video editor to help edit Instagram Reels and short-form content for a personal brand focused on tech, startups, books/podcasts, and thoughtful commentary. You will receive: * Raw talking-head footage (usually 3–8 minutes long) * Screenshots or supporting visuals * Context on the topic/message Your job is to turn that into highly engaging short-form reels optimized for Instagram. --- ## What I Need From You Each reel should include: * Strong text hooks in the first 1–3 seconds * Dynamic captions/subtitles * Smooth text transitions * Sound effects where appropriate * Fast-paced editing that keeps attention * Strategic cuts/zoom-ins/pattern interrupts * Optional B-roll or AI-generated visuals when useful * Clean and modern editing style You should be comfortable using AI tools to improve editing speed and quality (for example: AI captions, AI B-roll generation, AI-assisted editing workflows, etc.). --- ## Volume * 8–12 reels per month * Raw footage will typically be 3–8 minutes long * Final reels are usually around 30–90 seconds --- ## Ideal Candidate You are: * Experienced with editing Instagram Reels/TikToks/YouTube Shorts * Familiar with modern short-form pacing and retention editing * Comfortable communicating clearly and meeting deadlines * Able to take feedback and iterate quickly * Organized and consistent Bonus if you: * Understand storytelling and hooks * Follow creator economy trends * Have experience editing talking-head educational content --- ## To Apply Please send: 1. 3–5 examples of short-form videos you’ve edited 2.
