Video Editor & Social Media Content Creator — Home Services Brand (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube) Hours: 20+ hrs/week Contract Type: Ongoing, Independent Contractor Time Zone Requirement: Flexable Time Tracking: Hubstaff (mandatory — non-negotiable) WHO WE ARE Choice Painting is a residential painting company in Los Angeles building a brand that earns trust before the phone rings. We're not looking for someone to post filler content. We need a content creator who understands that every video, caption, and reel is a sales tool — and who builds accordingly. WHAT THIS ROLE IS You will own the full content pipeline: edit raw field footage into platform-native content, manage a rolling content calendar, publish consistently across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube, and make sure every piece of content drives viewers to take action (request a free estimate). This is not a brand awareness role. This is a lead generation role. YOUR CORE RESPONSIBILITIES Edit and produce short-form video content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube Maintain and execute a weekly content calendar (minimum 3–5 posts/week across primary platforms) Build and manage the content library in OneDrive (Raw → In Review → Approved) Produce and maintain three pinned posts per platform: testimonial, Who We Are, and brand story Ensure every piece of content includes a clear CTA driving viewers to request a free estimate Flag and route all inbound DMs and leads from social to the sales team within 5mins Track all tasks and deliverables in Asana with proof of completion (file links or screenshots) Submit a weekly analytics report: reach, engagement, profile visits, DM volume by platform Attend a weekly check-in via Slack or video call WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU — HARD SKILLS Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve Demonstrated experience editing short-form vertical video (Reels, TikToks) that have driven measurable engagement or leads Experience managing content for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube simultaneously Strong understanding of platform-native formats, hooks, and algorithms in 2026 Content calendar management experience OneDrive and Asana (or similar project management tool) fluency Go High Level CRM Hubstaff time tracking — if you are not willing to use Hubstaff, do not apply WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU — SOFT SKILLS You communicate proactively. You flag blockers before the deadline, not after. You are self-directed. You don't wait to be told what to do next. You take feedback without ego. Revisions happen. You improve and move on. You treat deadlines as commitments, not targets. You have high standards for your own work. You won't submit something you're not proud of. STRONG PREFERENCE FOR Prior experience creating content for a home services, trades, construction, or local service business Portfolio showing before/after transformation content, testimonial videos, or brand storytelling for a service company Experience creating content that has directly generated inbound inquiries or leads WHAT YOUR FIRST 30 DAYS LOOK LIKE Week 1–2: Marketing creative document, Brand all four social profiles, complete OneDrive folder structure, deliver Three pinned post for review Week 3–4: Audit and index existing footage library, deliver all three pinned posts, publish first round of regular content HOW TO APPLY Answer the following in your proposal — applications without these answers will not be reviewed: What tools do you use to edit video, and what is your proficiency level with each? Share 2–3 examples of short-form video content you've created for a service-based business. Include platform and results if available (views, engagement, leads generated). Have you ever managed social media content that contributed directly to inbound leads or inquiries? Describe what you did and what happened. What is your availability and how many hours per week can you commit? Are you willing to track all hours in Hubstaff? Yes or no. What is your editing turnaround time for a standard 60-second short-form video from raw footage to final cut?
