We run paid social campaigns on Meta and TikTok for DTC and lead gen clients, and our entire operation is built on volume, data, and speed — producing enough creative inventory to find winners fast, then scaling what works. We operate in pods. Each pod is a tight unit of a media buyer, creative strategist, video editor, and copywriter working a shared portfolio of accounts. We're systematic, automation-forward, and built to scale. If you like clean processes, fast feedback loops, and seeing your work tested in live ad accounts within days of finishing it, you'll fit right in. ROLE OVERVIEW We're looking for a video editor with a direct response background — someone who has cut Meta and TikTok ads that performed, not just edited "content." You'll be the production engine of the pod, turning concept briefs from your creative strategist into finished video ads. Your output is the agency's testing inventory, so volume and consistency matter as much as polish. The atomic unit of your work is the concept, not the individual video. A single concept brief may produce multiple video variations depending on the hooks, models, or formats being tested. Your weekly target is approximately 15 concepts completed, which typically yields ~135 final video variations. Concept volume is the primary metric — video count is a secondary health check. This starts as an hourly engagement. Strong performers transition into a long-term retainer relationship after the trial period. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Edit and produce direct response video ads for Meta and TikTok from briefs delivered via ClickUp - Hit weekly output targets — approximately 15 concepts completed per week, yielding ~135 final video variations - Cut multiple hook variations and CTA variants per concept to feed creative testing - Build vertical-first edits (9:16) optimized for Reels, Stories, and TikTok, with horizontal/square variants where briefed - Add captions, sound design, basic motion graphics, and on-screen text in a way that supports retention and creates clear pattern interrupts - Submit cuts via Frame.io and turn around revisions based on timestamped feedback - Maintain organized project files, exports, and naming conventions inside the agency's folder structure - Collaborate daily with your creative strategist and media buyer to iterate on what is working and refresh fatiguing creative REQUIREMENTS - 2+ years editing short-form video ads for Meta and/or TikTok — DTC, ecommerce, or lead gen specifically - Strong portfolio of direct response work — not weddings, brand films, music videos, or long-form YouTube - Fluent in Adobe Premiere Pro (After Effects a plus); CapCut and DaVinci Resolve also welcomed - Strong sense of what makes a scroll-stopping hook and how the first 3 seconds determine everything else - Comfortable cutting many variations from the same source footage — hook tests, length tests, CTA tests - Solid grasp of captions/subtitles, sound design, and platform-native pacing for Meta and TikTok - High output speed without sacrificing quality control - Conversational and written English fluency — you'll be in Slack and Frame.io daily - Available 30–40 hrs/week with meaningful overlap with CST hours PREFERRED SKILLS - Familiar with the concept of Creative Fatigue and how to refresh winners with new hooks, B-roll, or angles - Experience editing UGC-style ads — talking heads, screen recordings, product demos, founder-led content - Comfortable using AI tools (HeyGen, ElevenLabs, Sora, ChatGPT) to accelerate B-roll sourcing, voiceover, and asset generation - Familiar with Frame.io review workflows - Working knowledge of ClickUp for task management - Motion graphics or solid After Effects skills - Experience producing static image ads in addition to video WHAT WORKING HERE LOOKS LIKE - You'll work inside a pod — your creative strategist briefs the work, your media buyer runs it in market, and feedback loops are fast - Performance is tracked weekly — 15 concepts/week is the baseline, with revision rate and creative performance tracked over time - We use ClickUp for task management, Slack for daily communication, and Frame.io for creative review - We're a systematized operation — clean folder structures, naming conventions, and SOPs are non-negotiable - Your work goes live in ad accounts within days, sometimes hours — you'll actually see how your edits perform WHAT WE OFFER - Fully remote, flexible work environment - Competitive hourly rate with weekly billing through Upwork - Path to long-term retainer engagement for strong performers - Ongoing work — not a one-off project - Collaborative, results-focused international team HOW TO APPLY If you're a high-output editor with a direct response background who knows the difference between a hook that stops the scroll and one that doesn't, we want to hear from you.
