Video Editor & Thumbnail Designer — Weekly YouTube Series (Ongoing)
Worldwide
About the project Tell Me Teddi Ann is a weekly YouTube series from a premier Colorado divorce and family law firm. Each episode opens with a specific question a (fictionalized) client asked, and walks through the answer via a composed, insider-style case study. The tone is discreet and quietly authoritative — think Wall Street Journal editorial style, not true-crime or tabloid content. We're looking for a long-term editor who can take a finished script and voiceover and turn it into a polished, on-brand episode — plus design a matching thumbnail — on a reliable weekly schedule. What you'll do Edit an 8–10 minute video each week from a provided voiceover track and script, using licensed B-roll, understated music, and clean on-screen text per our style guide Execute the channel's recurring signature moment consistently every episode: a "Tell me, Teddi Ann..." title card that appears right before the opening question — same typography, placement, and simple treatment every time Design one YouTube thumbnail per episode, following our established visual system (editorial, premium palette — navy and charcoal as dominant colors, a muted gold accent, and the firm's deep red used sparingly as a brand mark — never bright/high-contrast or "clickbait" colors) Work from a provided Brand Voice Guide and Design Instructions doc covering tone, pacing, exact color values, and dos/don'ts — you won't be guessing at style Deliver a first cut for review, then a final polish once approved, on a fixed weekly turnaround Include the required on-screen disclaimer card exactly as specified per episode (compliance requirement) Communicate proactively if anything in a script or brief is ambiguous, rather than defaulting to a more dramatic creative choice What we're looking for Strong portfolio of calm, editorial-style video editing — legal, financial, business, or documentary content preferred. Please do not apply if your reel is primarily true-crime, drama, or high-shock-value content — the tone mismatch will show. Thumbnail design skills with a clean, premium aesthetic (again: WSJ, not tabloid) — please include separate thumbnail samples, as we evaluate editing and thumbnail work independently Comfortable working from detailed written brand/style guides and following them precisely, including a recurring template element used every episode Reliable weekly availability — this is an ongoing, recurring project, not a one-off Strong async communication; flags questions early rather than guessing Nice to have Experience editing for legal, financial services, or other trust-driven professional brands Familiarity with pacing narrated explainer/essay-style YouTube content (as opposed to vlog or talking-head formats) How this will work You'll receive a finalized script, voiceover audio file, the Brand Voice Guide, and the Design Instructions doc for each episode — all in one delivery Files follow a consistent naming convention (details provided on hire) We're building 8 episodes per production batch and releasing weekly — steady, predictable volume Compensation $100–$250 per episode (editing + one thumbnail, fixed price), depending on experience and portfolio strength. Paid per delivered episode. Rate discussed and confirmed before work begins each batch. To apply Please include: Your most relevant editing samples — ideally something calm/editorial in tone, not high-energy 1–2 thumbnail design samples (separate from your editing reel) Your typical weekly turnaround capacity (how many projects like this could you take on at once?) Your rate expectation within the range above We're looking to build a long-term working relationship with the right person, not a single gig.
