Video Editor for Clips & Shorts from Long-Form YouTube Content

I'm looking for a skilled short-form editor to turn my longer YouTube videos into compelling clips and shorts. To be clear: this is not a job where you drop the video into CapCut, Opus, or any auto-clipping tool and export whatever it spits out. I can do that myself. I'm hiring for the human judgment those tools can't replicate. I need someone who can watch a long video, understand it, find the moments that will genuinely land, and assemble them into something that performs. What You'll Create Clips: roughly 2 to 5 minutes. Either condensed versions of a full video, or the best sections stitched together. Often the strongest clip combines two interesting moments that aren't next to each other in the original. Finding those and making them flow is core to this role. Shorts: short vertical/square cuts for social. Everything gets posted on LinkedIn and X, so you should know what performs across platforms. Important Skills The real skill is editorial judgment: knowing which sections are interesting, why, and how to package them. That includes the hook, title, and thumbnail (for clips), and how they work together so the clip performs as well as possible. If you treat this as a mechanical export job, it won't be a fit. Style Note My source videos are already professionally edited, with b-roll and graphics. You don't need to pile new elements on top. I specifically don't want the over-stimulating style with a thousand things happening on screen at once. Your value is selection and structure, not clutter.
