Video Editor for Facebook & Instagram Ads (Long-Term Job)

We are a fast-growing e-commerce brand in the pet niche (cat products) looking for a Video Editor focused on Facebook & Instagram ads. We don’t need “cinematic” films. We need direct-response ads: strong hooks, clear structure, fast pacing, and sharp messaging that sells. We have a constant pipeline of scripts that need to be turned into videos. Speed and reliability are as important as quality. The better you perform (quality + speed), the more scripts and hours you will receive. This is a long-term, ongoing role. Responsibilities * Edit 1–3 minute video ads for Facebook & Instagram using: * Provided scripts/briefs * Raw content (product footage, UGC, etc.) * Loom-style explanation videos of the idea and creative vision * Source B‑roll and stock footage yourself where needed, based on the script and concept * Add: * Captions and on-screen text * Simple motion graphics, zooms, highlights, and pattern interrupts * Clear hooks in the first 3–5 seconds * Create multiple variations from the same script/footage (different hooks, angles, text) * Work inside ClickUp: * Receive the brief, script, and assets * Deliver final creatives and versions * Update task status and add comments if something is unclear * Follow brand guidelines and improve based on performance feedback from the team * Communicate clearly and deliver on agreed timelines Requirements Please only apply if you meet most of the following: * Proven experience editing ads for Facebook/Instagram (DTC / e-commerce experience is a big plus) * Portfolio that shows direct-response style ads (not just cinematic edits) * Comfortable editing 1–3 minute videos with a clear structure: hook → problem → solution → offer → CTA * Able to source and choose B‑roll independently (paid or free libraries you already use) * Proficient in common editing software (Premiere Pro, Final Cut, DaVinci, etc.) * Fast turnaround and good time management (we have ongoing volume) * Can follow a script/brief exactly, while adding your own creative flair where it makes sense * Good written and spoken English for communication * Reliable, consistent, and comfortable working as part of a remote team with other editors Rate: $6–8 per hour, depending on experience, with potential for more hours based on performance.
