Video Editor for Short-Form Content, Talking-Head Videos & Sound Design (Pro AI-Assisted)

We’re looking for a creative, fast, and reliable video editor who can help turn raw videos, talking-head clips, product screen recordings, AI-generated clips, and simple phone-recorded footage into polished short-form content. This is not mainly a “generate AI videos from prompts” role. We need someone who is strong at actual video editing and can use AI tools when they help improve the final output. The content will be used across: QuickApply Pro: an AI-powered job application platform Wayiko: an upcoming product/content brand Founder/social content TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, Meta ads, and LinkedIn We are looking for someone who can become a long-term creative production partner, someone we can send raw clips to and trust them to make the video look and sound good. What You’ll Edit You may receive: Talking-head videos Founder videos Product demo clips Screen recordings Voiceovers AI-generated clips Simple phone-recorded videos Short scripts or hooks Reference videos/styles Your job is to turn them into polished final videos. What We Need From You You should be able to handle: Video editing Strong pacing and jump cuts Modern captions/subtitles Audio cleanup Sound design Music selection Sound effects Voiceover improvement or AI voice support B-roll and overlays Transitions Product screen recording edits Background cleanup or enhancement Studio-style polish for talking-head videos AI-assisted editing where useful Exporting in both 9:16 vertical and 16:9 horizontal when needed A common task may be: We send you a raw video of someone talking to camera. You clean it up, improve the sound, add captions, add overlays/B-roll, improve the background or make it feel more professional, and export a polished version for social media. AI-Assisted Editing We are interested in editors who can use tools or learning to use tools like Higgsfield AI, Premiere Pro, After Effects, CapCut, DaVinci Resolve, Runway, ElevenLabs, or similar tools. You do not need to use one exact tool, but you should be able to produce a polished result. Paid Trial We will start with a small paid trial, likely between $50–$100, depending on the task. The trial may include one or two of the following: A quick edit of a raw talking-head video Sound design/audio cleanup for an existing video Improving an AI-generated clip with voice, music, effects, and pacing Editing a short product/social video into a polished final version Enhancing a talking-head video with captions, overlays, better background, and sound The goal of the trial is to test: Editing taste Speed Creativity Sound design Ability to follow references Ability to use AI tools practically Whether you can make raw content feel more premium If the trial goes well, we are open to moving into a long-term fixed monthly retainer. Ongoing Work For the ongoing retainer, we are thinking in terms of fixed monthly output, not hourly billing. The expected monthly workload would likely be around: 12–14 short-form videos per month Mix of talking-head edits, product videos, founder content, AI-assisted edits, and sound design 9:16 and 16:9 versions where needed Consistent quality and fast turnaround 1–2 reasonable revisions per video We want someone affordable, creative, and consistent, not just someone who can do basic edits.
