Video Editor for Short Form Content
Worldwide
About the Role Texas Sports Academy is a K-12 school designed for serious student-athletes who want both elite academics and high-level athletic development. Students cover 2x the material in just 2 hours a day, using the same 2-Hour Learning model as Alpha Schools. That frees up their entire afternoon for serious training, where they work alongside former pro and D1 athletes coaching them at the highest standard. We're hiring a Video Editor to cut short-form ads for Facebook and Instagram. You'll work mostly in 9:16 and 1:1, turning raw footage, B-roll, and UGC into ads that drive enrollment and sign-ups. This role sits inside the paid social team and works closely with the creative lead and the media buyer. If you can edit and you have a portfolio to send, we want to talk. We care more about the work you've shipped than years on a resume. What You'll Do Cut Short-Form Ads: Edit 9:16 and 1:1 video ads for Facebook and Instagram, usually 15 to 60 seconds, built around a clear hook and call to action. Produce Ad Variations: Ship multiple versions of each concept so the media buyer can test hooks, openings, and CTAs against each other. Work From Raw Footage: Take raw clips, B-roll, stock, and UGC and assemble them into finished ads with captions, music, and sound design. Add Captions and On-Screen Text: Build burned-in captions and text that hold attention in the first 3 seconds and keep viewers watching with the sound off. Iterate on Performance: Recut winning ads into new variations and kill what's not working. What We're Looking For Portfolio or Reel: Send a link to your work. This is the most important part of your application. You Can Edit: You're fast and clean in Premiere Pro, CapCut, or a similar tool. You can cut, sync, color, mix, and export on your own. You Get Short-Form: You understand hook-driven editing, fast pacing, and the 3-second test. Speed and Volume: You can turn around multiple ad variations in a day without the quality dropping. Location: Remote (U.S.). U.S. work authorization required. Bonus Points UGC Editing: You've cut creator-style ads that feel native to the feed. Motion Graphics: Basic After Effects or comparable skills. Familiarity With Meta Ads Manager: You've sat with a media buyer or run ads yourself and understand how creative gets tested.
