Video Editor for Short and Long Form

Video Editor | Short Form + Long Form Content I'm looking for a talented video editor to become a long term part of my team. Right now, the primary focus is editing short form content for Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and TikTok. Over time, I also want to build a large YouTube channel, so I'm looking for someone who can eventually help edit long form content and contribute creative ideas along the way. This is not just an editing job. I want someone who enjoys the creative process and wants to help build something great. Short Form Responsibilities • Edit Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and TikTok videos from raw footage • Improve pacing and viewer retention • Add captions, zooms, graphics, and B roll when appropriate • Deliver edits quickly and consistently • Match my existing editing style while making subtle improvements based on your expertise I'm not looking for flashy edits or excessive effects. Simple, clean, engaging editing always wins. Long Form Responsibilities As my YouTube channel grows, I want someone who can help with more than just editing. I'd like someone who can: • Help brainstorm video ideas • Improve storytelling and pacing • Give creative feedback • Help structure videos for retention • Become a creative partner as we grow the channel If you're someone who enjoys thinking strategically about content instead of simply assembling clips, this role is for you. Requirements • Experience editing both short form and long form content • Strong understanding of pacing and viewer retention • Fast turnaround times • Excellent communication • Ability to receive feedback and continuously improve • Reliable and organized Nice to Have • Experience editing fitness content • Knowledge of YouTube retention and analytics • Motion graphics experience • Thumbnail design • Experience helping creators grow YouTube channels Workload The majority of the work will initially be short form content. As we begin producing long form YouTube videos, this role has the potential to grow significantly.
