Video Editor (Freelance → Long-Term Partnership) We're looking for a talented, detail-obsessed Video Editor who can take raw footage and turn it into content people actually watch all the way through. This starts as a freelance engagement, but our goal is to build a real long-term creative partnership with the right person — one that grows in scope, compensation, and creative ownership over time. What You'll Be Working On This role is split across two content formats, and you need to be strong in both: Short-Form Social (Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn): These are fast, punchy videos built for scroll-stopping performance. You understand hooks, retention, and what makes someone watch a 30-second clip twice. You know how each platform behaves differently and edit accordingly. Long-Form YouTube (8–20+ minutes): These aren't just longer — they require a completely different skillset. Strong narrative structure, professional pacing, and the ability to hold an audience's attention for the full runtime. Production value matters here. Day-to-Day Responsibilities Handle full post-production from start to finish: cutting, transitions, motion graphics, sound design, color grading, and subtitles. Take raw recordings and interviews and shape them into polished, engaging final content — not just technically clean, but genuinely compelling. Work from creative briefs provided by the content team and deliver on time, every time. Proactively suggest edits, formats, or creative approaches that could improve performance — we want someone who thinks, not just executes. Repurpose existing long-form content into short-form clips and vice versa. What We're Looking For A real portfolio. Not a long list of credits — actual examples of short-form social videos and long-form YouTube content that show technical skill and a strong editorial eye. Proficiency in Premiere Pro, After Effects, and/or Final Cut Pro. Motion graphics experience is a strong plus. A genuine understanding of why certain videos perform and others don't — hooks, pacing, thumbnail-to-retention relationships, algorithm behavior across platforms. Someone who can work independently, manage their own deadlines, and maintain quality under pressure without needing constant direction. High attention to detail and a real passion for video as a storytelling medium.
