Job Posting: High-Impact Video Editor Role Overview: We are seeking a talented and strategic Video Editor to transform a detailed, expert-led industry webinar into high-performing content across multiple platforms. You will be responsible for extracting key insights from a long-form video and repurposing them into engaging YouTube segments, fast-paced YouTube Shorts, and high-aesthetic Instagram Reels. The primary goal is to educate med spa owners and practitioners on complex topics—legal compliance, medical board audits, and operational growth—while maintaining a premium, authoritative brand voice. Key Responsibilities: Multi-Platform Repurposing: Take a single long-form recording and slice it into six long-form YouTube segments, five YouTube Shorts, and five Instagram Reels based on a provided content plan. Dynamic Storytelling: Use pacing, music, and visual cues to make technical legal and medical information (e.g., CPOM laws, GFE requirements) engaging and easy to digest. Visual Enhancements: Add professional on-screen text, captions, and B-roll to emphasize critical warnings and "industry secrets." Platform Optimization: Tailor the aspect ratios, hooks, and editing styles to match the unique user behaviors of YouTube vs. Instagram. Required Skills for Premium Content Success To be successful in this role and create content that resonates on all platforms, the editor must possess the following: 1. Expert-Level Platform Knowledge YouTube: Understanding of high-retention editing techniques, including "the hook," pattern interrupts, and clear call-to-action (CTA) placements. Shorts & Reels: Mastery of vertical video trends, including rapid-fire captions, trending audio integration, and "safe zone" awareness for UI overlays. 2. Technical Editing Mastery Advanced Motion Graphics: Ability to create clean, professional on-screen text and graphics that highlight key terms (e.g., "Good Faith Exam," "Medical Board Audit"). Sound Design: Skilled at using background music and sound effects to drive the narrative without overpowering the expert's voice. Color Grading: Ensuring a high-end, "medical-premium" aesthetic that looks clean and trustworthy. 3. Content Strategy & Curation Hook Identification: The ability to identify the most "viral" or "controversial" 3-second window in a segment to stop the scroll. Narrative Condensing: The skill to take a 5-minute explanation and distill it into a 60-second "Quick Tip" without losing the essential legal nuances. 4. Industry-Specific Sensibilities Detail-Oriented: Because this content involves medical and legal compliance, the editor must ensure that captions and highlighted text are 100% accurate to the speaker's advice. Brand Alignment: Ability to balance "educational authority" with "engaging social media content."
