Video Editor for Vocal Lessons, Theatre, Live Music & Music Videos

I'm looking for a creative video editor for an ongoing collaboration. I create content related to vocal/theatre coaching, live music performances and occasionally music videos. Most of the work involves simple, clean editing, but I also need someone who can bring a more artistic approach when editing music videos. This will start as a small paid test project, with the possibility of long-term collaboration if we're a good fit. Types of videos You'll be editing content such as: Vocal coaching lessons Drama & Movement Lessons Live music performances Social media clips (Reels, Shorts, YouTube) Promotional videos Occasionally, music videos What I'm looking for For most projects, I prefer clean, simple and natural editing. However, because the content is performance based, I need someone who: Has a good musical ear and can recognise moments where the singers and sound generally sound their best. Understands rhythm and musical phrasing. Can choose camera angles and cuts that support the performance. Has a good eye for performance details and can notice moments performers would probably not want to keep, such as awkward body posture, distracting facial expressions or other visually unflattering moments. Can create engaging edits without making them feel over-edited. For music videos, I'm looking for someone who is more artistic and creative, who enjoys experimenting with visual storytelling, cinematic editing and effects. I especially like aesthetics inspired by: Rock Hard rock Dark or cinematic visuals Dramatic lighting Creative transitions and effects (when appropriate) Ideal candidate It would be a big advantage if you have: Experience editing music-related content A musical background (musician, singer, music producer, music student, etc.) Experience editing performances or concerts Experience creating engaging YouTube videos and short-form content When applying, you can send: Examples of similar work Music-related projects you've edited Music videos (if available) A short introduction about your experience I'm looking for someone who enjoys music and understands performers, not just someone who edits videos.
