Video Editor for YouTube Content

I'm helping an established lifestyle content creator find a long-term video editor to become an ongoing part of her creative team. She has an established community on Instagram and TikTok and is currently growing her YouTube channel. I'm assisting with the hiring process and will be reviewing applications before introducing finalists to the creator. This is **not** a one-time project. We're looking for someone who wants to build a long-term working relationship and grow alongside the channel. There will be consistent work for the right person. The content focuses on cozy lifestyle vlogs, slow living, home projects, personal growth, nature, and everyday life. The editing style we're looking for is clean, simple, cinematic, and story-driven... not flashy or over-edited. We love thoughtful pacing, beautiful b-roll, intentional music, subtle sound design, and edits that enhance the story while still feeling natural and authentic. Editing style inspiration includes creators like Hannah Lee Duggan and Isabel Paige. We'll also provide examples from our creator's existing YouTube videos so you can get a feel for the style and brand we're building if you move on to the "test" round. We're looking for someone who understands the overall pacing, storytelling, and atmosphere while helping us create a unique and recognizable editing style of our own. We're looking for someone who can edit both long-form YouTube videos and short-form content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts. Beyond editing, we'd love someone who enjoys contributing creative ideas and helping establish a consistent brand identity through music choices, pacing, recurring graphics, typography, intros, and an overall cohesive editing style. **Requirements:** * Expert in CapCut Pro (desktop) * Experience editing YouTube lifestyle, vlog, or storytelling content * Comfortable editing both long-form and short-form videos * Must be willing to work inside our shared CapCut Space so all projects remain fully editable by the creator in case of last minute edits are needed * Strong understanding of YouTube pacing, storytelling, audience retention, and viewer engagement * Excellent English communication * Reliable, organized, responsive, and able to meet deadlines * Open to feedback and interested in building a long-term working relationship When applying, please include: * Links to your best lifestyle, vlog, or storytelling edits (both long-form and short-form if possible) * A brief description of your editing experience * The creators whose editing style inspires you * Your favorite project you've edited and why Shortlisted candidates will be invited to complete a **test edit** before a final decision is made.
