Video Editor for ad creatives for Tech Events

We are looking for a video editor to create high-performing paid ad creatives for our tech events. This role is focused specifically on reworking existing event footage into scroll-stopping Meta and Instagram Reels ads — not original aftermovie production. You'll be given raw footage from past events (crowd shots, speakers, booths, networking moments) and asked to cut it into short, punchy ad creatives optimized for paid social. What you'll own Edit 15–20 second Reels-format ads from existing event footage Work from detailed creative briefs — shot lists, pacing notes, text overlay timing, and audio direction will be provided Add text overlays, captions, and on-screen hooks designed to stop the scroll in the first 2 seconds Sync footage to trending or licensed audio for maximum engagement Produce multiple variants of the same ad — different hooks, different pacing, different CTAs — for A/B testing Maintain fast turnaround — ad creatives often need same-day or next-day delivery Work within brand guidelines for consistent visual identity across all ad variants Who we're looking for Minimum 2 years of video editing experience, specifically with paid social ads or Reels-style short-form content — not just long-form or aftermovie editing Strong command of Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, or DaVinci Resolve Understanding of what makes an ad perform on Meta — pacing, hook structure, text overlay timing Experience working from creative briefs rather than freeform editing Fast turnaround without compromising quality A portfolio specifically showing paid ad or Reels work — not just general video editing We're looking for someone fast and reliable.
