Video Game Translators and Localizers

**VIDEO GAME TRANSLATOR / LOCALISER (FREELANCE, ONGOING)** We’re looking for freelance translators/localizers with real video game translation experience for occasional, ongoing projects. You do not need AAA credits. Indie game experience is absolutely fine. What matters is that you have actually worked on games and can prove it. **Main languages we are looking for (if your language is not included write us anyway):** Brazilian Portuguese Chinese (traditional/simplified) French German Indonesian Japanese Korean Russian Spanish Turkish Ukrainian **Ideal candidate:** Experience translating/localizing video game content Ability to handle dialogue, UI, in-game text, store pages, or marketing copy Good understanding of game terminology and natural player-facing language Reliable communication and ability to meet deadlines **In the below screening questions, you will be asked:** A few specific game titles or projects you’ve worked on What exactly you did on those projects Proof of experience if possible (portfolio, credits, screenshots, website, Steam page, references, etc.) Your rates Whether you’re open to a quick intro call To make sure you’ve read this carefully, please start your cover letter with the word: Checkpoint We’re looking for people we can work with long-term on a freelance, as-needed basis but this could turn in a more stable position in the long term.
