Video Podcast Studio Consultant: Sony Cameras and RØDE Video Workflow

We are seeking a highly experienced, U.S.-based video podcast studio consultant to help us transition an established professional audio podcast into a two-camera video podcast. We are already highly sophisticated in professional video and audio production. Our current podcast is professionally recorded using broadcast-quality microphones and RØDE audio mixers. We are not looking for basic podcast training, general equipment advice, or an ongoing production service. Our immediate objective is to select, configure, and optimize a professional two-camera studio using Sony cameras and the RØDECaster Video switching and production system. Scope of Work: The project will consist of three one-hour virtual consulting sessions: Session One: System Review and Recommendations Review our existing studio, audio equipment, computers, recording environment, and intended production workflow. Provide specific recommendations regarding: Sony camera models Appropriate lenses Camera placement and framing HDMI connectivity Power and continuous recording requirements Memory and recording options RØDECaster Video configuration Integration with our existing RØDE audio equipment Lighting considerations Monitoring File management Backup recording Remote guest integration, when applicable The consultant should provide a concise written equipment and configuration recommendation following the first session. Session Two: Equipment Setup and Configuration Once the recommended equipment has been acquired, guide us through the virtual setup and configuration process. This session should include: Sony camera settings Exposure and color matching between cameras White balance Frame rates and resolution Autofocus settings Audio synchronization RØDECaster Video setup Scene and input configuration Recording settings Signal-flow verification Testing of the complete system Session Three: Training and Workflow Optimization Provide practical training and help us develop an efficient, repeatable production workflow. The workflow should address: Pre-recording setup Camera and audio checks Live switching ISO recording, where appropriate File transfer and organization Editing handoff Backup procedures Production of full-length episodes Creation of short-form video clips Reducing unnecessary postproduction time Troubleshooting common technical issues Required Experience Applicants must have verifiable, specific experience with: Sony mirrorless or cinema cameras RØDECaster Video RØDE professional audio products Multicamera podcast production HDMI-based studio workflows Camera matching and configuration Audio and video synchronization Efficient podcast recording and postproduction workflows General podcast consultants without deep technical experience in both Sony camera systems and RØDE video and audio equipment will not be considered. Location Requirements: We are only considering U.S.-based freelancers or companies with a verifiable physical U.S. business address. Project Budget: Our total budget is $350 as a fixed-price project for all three one-hour virtual sessions and the associated written recommendations. We are not interested in: Hourly billing beyond the agreed scope Monthly retainers Subscription services Ongoing production packages Equipment sales commissions Large studio-design engagements Potential Second Phase After the studio and production workflow are complete, we may initiate a separate project focused on optimizing podcast and video distribution for improved visibility in: Generative search results Answer engines YouTube search Google search Spotify Apple Podcasts LinkedIn Other relevant content-distribution platforms: Experience in generative engine optimization, answer engine optimization, YouTube optimization, and podcast distribution is helpful but is not required for this initial technical project.
