Job Title: Content Creation Assistant / AI Video Editor (Short & Long-Form) About the Role I create both short-form and long-form video content, and I'm looking for someone to work side by side with me as my right hand on production. I come up with the ideas and gather the raw clips — your job is to take those and turn them into finished, ready-to-post videos, plus generate some clips yourself using AI tools when needed. What You'll Do Edit and assemble both short-form clips and longer videos from the ideas, scripts, and raw footage I hand you Cut long-form videos down into short-form clips (and repurpose short content into longer pieces where it makes sense) Generate original clips, b-roll, and visuals using AI tools (e.g. Runway, Sora, Kling, Midjourney, ElevenLabs, or whatever fits the job) Add captions/subtitles, sound effects, music, and transitions with clean pacing Structure longer videos so they hold attention start to finish (strong hooks, good pacing, no dead spots) Occasionally source or pull relevant viral/trending clips to work into edits Handle basic thumbnail or cover-image creation Turn edits around quickly and take feedback well through a few rounds of revisions Keep files and projects organized so nothing gets lost What I'm Looking For Solid video editing experience across both short and long form (CapCut, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar) Hands-on experience with AI generation tools for video/image/voice A good eye for hooks, pacing, and retention — for both a 30-second clip and a 15-minute video Reliable, communicative, and comfortable working closely with one person day to day Fast turnaround without sacrificing quality A portfolio or samples of both short and long-form work you've edited (required) Nice to Have Understanding of trends across TikTok / Reels / YouTube Shorts and what keeps long-form YouTube viewers watching Motion graphics or basic animation skills Experience growing or working on a channel/account Details Hours: full-time
