Video editor needed for long-form YouTube podcast.

We are looking for an experienced Video Editor to collaborate with the team of a developing podcast and YouTube channel. The editor will be required to produce professional-quality long-form videos. This role will also require close collaboration with the rest of the podcasting team, and regular communication is essential to the successful completion of tasks. This is a long-term project, and timelines will be discussed after appointment. Responsibilities - Edit long-form video podcast episodes. Short-form content may also be required for social media platforms. - Edit long-form videos with a focus on narrative. - Source images and footage for YouTube video episodes (the podcast is faceless). - Create graphics and animations for video episodes. - Deliver clean, high-quality edits aligned with the message of the episode and the channel's creative vision. - Work collaboratively with pre-production team to discuss vision, style, and other important elements. - Demonstrate excellent time-management and adhere to project deadlines. - Maintain a consistent style across episodes and platforms. Requirements - Three (3) to five (5) years of professional video editing experience. Experience with podcasts and YouTube videos is preferred, but not required. - Proficient in industry-standard editing tools (e.g. Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, etc.). - A good or excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken. - Strong communication skills and responsiveness. - Careful attention to detail and quality. - The ability to work collaboratively, understand creative direction, and adapt to the creative vision of the project. - Familiarity with generative AI, and the ability to create historically-accurate voiceovers for short text extracts. Nice to Have - Experience with projects in the history or educational genre. - Experience in creating graphics and animations.
