Title: Ongoing Short-Form Video Creator / Videographer for Urban Nonprofit (All Culture Focus) Project Type: Ongoing / Long-Term Location Preference: U.S.-based or very familiar with U.S. Black & urban culture (PNW / Vancouver–Portland area a plus, but not required) About Us My nonprofit, Changing The Gray Street Outreach, was formed in honor of my 17‑year‑old son who was murdered. We work with young adults and at‑risk youth, showing them love, hope, and real options outside the streets. We’re looking for a video creator who can help us tell our story in a way that truly connects — especially with Black and urban communities. What We Need Short-form videos (Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts, IG content) highlighting: Our outreach events and street work Real moments with youth and families Impact stories, memorials, and awareness content Strong, emotional, “tear-jerker” storytelling that still feels real, hopeful, and not corny If local: occasional on-site videography (shooting at events, street outreach, etc.) If remote: editing footage we send + giving direction on what to film and how Content that feels urban, authentic, not uptight, and very much in tune with Black culture Who You Are Deeply familiar with Black / urban culture and how to speak to that audience visually and emotionally Down-to-earth, patient, and easy to work with Skilled in short-form video editing and storytelling (fast cuts, captions, hooks, music, etc.) Comfortable dealing with heavy topics (gun violence, grief, trauma) in a respectful and impactful way Able to bring creative ideas for series, campaigns, and ongoing content Bonus if you: Have nonprofit / community or street outreach experience Are in/near Vancouver, WA or Portland, OR for in-person shoots Responsibilities Create [X–Y] short videos per week/month (we can define together) Edit footage (ours and/or yours) into compelling, scroll-stopping content Add music, text overlays, simple motion graphics, etc. Help shape our visual style and storytelling approach Deliver content ready to post on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Facebook Requirements Proven experience making short-form videos (please send links to your work) Portfolio showing urban / Black culture–influenced content (music videos, street content, community work, etc. are all relevant) Proficiency with any pro editing tool (Premiere, Final Cut, DaVinci, CapCut Pro, etc.) Reliable communication and ability to meet deadlines Budget This is an ongoing role. Please include in your proposal: Your hourly rate or per-video rate What you can deliver for that rate (e.g., “4 edited Reels per week,” “X short videos per month”) We’re a nonprofit, but we absolutely want to pay fairly and build a long-term relationship if it’s a good fit.
