Videographer needed – Film Authentic Himalayan Pranayama techniques with Dr. Yogrishi in Kitsilano

Project Start: Expected - next week, as early as Monday 13th July. We are seeking an experienced videographer to help capture a unique educational video library featuring Himalayan Master Dr. Yogrishi Vishvketu, internationally respected Yoga teacher, founder of Akhanda Yoga Institute, and master teacher to over 9,000 Yoga teachers across more than 40 countries. This project will document ancient, authentic Pranayama (Yogic breathing) and traditional breathwork techniques for teaching support and techniques library that will serve students worldwide for years to come. Project Overview Filming is expected to take place over approximately two weeks, with the opportunity for an ongoing collaboration for the right videographer. The primary recording location will be Casa Copal Yoga & Wellness Studio in Kitsilano, Vancouver—our preferred indoor filming venue and a vibrant hub for Vancouver's Yoga community. Casa Copal regularly creates educational and promotional content, offering the potential for future videography opportunities beyond this project. Expected filming schedule: - Approximately 11:30 AM – 3:30 PM - Weekdays over a two-week period (schedule to be confirmed) - Anticipated start: Tuesday next week What We're Looking For We're seeking someone who: - Owns professional video equipment - Can provide high-quality microphones suitable for capturing both spoken instruction and the subtle sounds of breathwork practices - Has experience with lighting for educational or instructional filming - Understands clean, professional audio recording in quiet environments - Is comfortable filming Yoga, movement, meditation, wellness, or educational content - Can deliver stable, high-quality footage suitable for online learning platforms Camera Setup Preferred - Dual-camera recording (wide and close-up angles) Also welcome - Single-camera recording with thoughtful framing and composition Editing Please let us know whether you offer: - Filming only - Filming plus editing If editing is available, we'd be interested to hear about your workflow and pricing. This project represents an opportunity to help preserve and share traditional Himalayan Yogic knowledge through a high-quality educational video library. Compensation As this project offers a substantial block of guaranteed filming hours over approximately two weeks, we welcome proposals that reflect this commitment. We will give preference to applicants who are able to offer either: - A competitive hourly rate for the full filming schedule, or - A fixed project rate for the complete production.
