Title: Virtual Assistant / Customer Service Rep for Plumbing Company - Phones, Scheduling & Admin Job Description: We are a growing residential plumbing company looking for a reliable virtual assistant to help with phone support, customer communication, scheduling, estimate follow-up, and admin work. This role is ideal for someone with strong English communication skills, customer service experience, and the ability to stay organized while helping a small service business run more smoothly. You will be helping with day-to-day office tasks so the owner can spend less time on admin work and more time serving customers. Work Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM EST Starting Pay: $5/hour to start, with room to increase as responsibilities grow and performance is proven. Responsibilities: Answer incoming customer calls during business hours Speak professionally with homeowners and gather job details Schedule and/or organize service calls Use Housecall Pro / Housecall Pro Voice if applicable Follow up on open estimates that have not been approved Send basic customer messages, reminders, and follow-ups Update customer records and job notes Perform admin tasks as needed Follow written procedures and help improve them over time Communicate clearly with the business owner about calls, customer needs, and daily tasks Ideal Candidate: Strong spoken English with a clear, professional phone presence Experience answering phones for a service business, call center, or contractor Plumbing, HVAC, or home service experience is a major plus Housecall Pro experience is a major plus Reliable internet connection and quiet work environment Organized, dependable, and easy to communicate with Comfortable learning new systems and following procedures Able to work Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM EST Comfortable starting with a paid trial period and performance-based evaluation Trial Period: We will start with a one-week paid trial period to make sure it is a good fit. After the first week, the role may continue for up to 90 days as a performance-based evaluation period. Continued employment will be based on communication, reliability, quality of work, ability to follow procedures, and overall performance.
