AI Visual Designer — Film & Original IP

AI VISUAL DESIGNER | AI Film/drama & Original IP - Part time or project based - Remote (Preference for Southeast Asia and Asia time zones) ABOUT THE ROLE We are looking for an exceptional AI Visual Designer to help define the visual identity of original film, drama and entertainment IP. This is not a generic AI image generation role. We are looking for someone with serious artistic taste, a distinctive visual point of view, and an understanding of cinematic storytelling. Someone capable of inventing a world, then helping us turn that world into a finished show. WHAT YOU WILL DO You will help create the visual language of original entertainment projects from the ground up. This can include Character design Sets and environments Locations Props and wardrobe Visual motifs Colour, atmosphere and mood Cinematic framing and composition Storyboard frames Visual sequencing and storytelling Maintaining consistency across characters, locations and scenes You will work closely with the creative team to take a project from an initial idea through to a complete visual world. Once that identity is established, you will help translate it into storyboard frames and cinematic sequences that can subsequently be developed into moving scenes and full productions. Your work might contain elements of Spirituality Surrealism Dystopia Humanity Beauty Darkness Symbolism Future worlds Strange characters Unexpected environments We are particularly interested in people whose work feels like it comes from a personal creative worldview rather than simply following current AI aesthetics. You should understand that great visual storytelling is not just about creating beautiful individual images. You need to understand Shot composition Character Environment Sequence Emotion Visual progression Story AI NATIVE BUT DESIGN LED You should be highly capable with modern AI visual generation workflows. However, we care much more about taste and ideas than which particular tools you use. We are not looking for someone producing generic AI fantasy imagery Cyberpunk montages Prompt demonstrations Model showcases Random cinematic shots High volume AI content The technology should serve the creative vision. It should not become the creative vision. THE OPPORTUNITY We are building original entertainment IP using AI enabled production. That means the characters, worlds and visual identities you create are not intended to remain as concept art. They can become REAL CHARACTERS REAL SCENES REAL SHOWS REAL ENTERTAINMENT PROPERTIES We are particularly interested in designers who have always wanted to see their unusual visual ideas translated into mainstream film, drama and cinematic storytelling. WHAT GOOD LOOKS LIKE The strongest applicants will demonstrate Exceptional visual taste Originality Strong character design Strong environment and world building ability Understanding of cinematography Understanding of visual storytelling Ability to create coherent storyboard sequences Strong AI visual generation skills Ability to maintain character and environmental consistency Ability to work from creative direction Ability to iterate precisely based on feedback A distinctive personal aesthetic Traditional backgrounds in film, design, photography, concept art, production design, animation, fashion, architecture or visual art are all welcome. VISUAL REFERENCE We will provide a moodboard showing the level of originality, taste and design ambition we are looking for. We are not asking you to copy that aesthetic. We want someone capable of creating work at that level while bringing their own distinctive visual language. WORKING STRUCTURE We are open to Part time ongoing work Project based collaboration Remote is fine. We have a strong preference for people based in Southeast Asia or broadly within Asian time zones.
