Visual Designer | Help Build the Visual Identity of ScopeShift
Worldwide
About ScopeShift ScopeShift helps nurses understand the business of healthcare. Through short-form audio learning and visual learning tools called ScopeSheets, we help nurses better understand business, finance, operations, strategy, communication, and leadership—the skills often missing from traditional nursing education but essential for shaping the future of healthcare. Each ScopeShift lesson is paired with a ScopeSheet: a visual learning companion that transforms ideas into practical frameworks, models, tools, and reference guides nurses can use immediately and return to long after the lesson ends. We're looking for a visual designer to help us build the creative foundation for this experience. This is not a one-time project. We're looking for a long-term creative partner who wants to help shape a brand from the ground up and create learning experiences that nurses genuinely find useful. What You'll Help Build Phase 1: Define the ScopeShift Visual Language Working directly with the founders, you'll help establish: Brand guidelines and visual standards Typography, color systems, and design principles Illustration and iconography direction Layout systems for ScopeSheets Visual storytelling approaches Reusable templates and design components The overall feel and personality of ScopeShift A key question we'll explore together: How do we make complex business and leadership concepts feel accessible, practical, and relevant to nurses? Phase 2: Ongoing ScopeSheet Design Once the foundation is established, you'll help create ScopeSheets for future learning tracks and lessons. Projects may include: Visual frameworks One-page ScopeSheets Infographics Concept maps Reference sheets The goal isn't simply to make content look good. The goal is to help nurses understand, remember, and apply ideas that can influence their careers and impact healthcare more broadly. Who We're Looking For We're not looking for someone who only executes design requests. We're looking for a creative collaborator who enjoys helping shape experiences. Someone with experience and expertise in sketch-noting, infographics, or digitally generated hand-drawn illustration. You should be comfortable contributing ideas and helping answer questions such as: What should a ScopeSheet feel like? What visual elements support learning and retention? How do we create resources nurses want to save and reference later? How do we make business and leadership concepts approachable without oversimplifying them? Ideal Experience Experience in one or more of the following areas: Information design Editorial design Learning experience design (LXD) Instructional design Educational content design Visual storytelling
