Summary

Title: Visual Storyteller / Motion Creative — Blend Our Workshop Footage with AI B-Roll (Editorial Style: Vogue × GitHub × Engineering) About us We run highly technical, hands-on workshops for intermediate-to-expert engineers — people building real AI and infrastructure systems, not following tutorials. Our brand is deliberately editorial: think a fashion magazine that happens to be about engineering. Restrained, confident, a little cheeky. Oxblood and bone-paper palette, editorial serif typography, institutional polish with one knowing wink. Our tagline is "Truly Engineered." The core of this project We have a growing library of our own real workshop stock footage. The job is to take that footage and blend it with AI-generated B-roll to create a series of short, striking, story-driven ads — elevating real clips of engineers at work into something cinematic and premium. This is the heart of the role: you're not generating fake workshops from scratch, and you're not just trimming our raw clips. You're weaving our real footage together with stylized AI B-roll into a seamless, elevated visual story. The real footage is the anchor and the truth of it; the AI B-roll is the texture, mood, and connective tissue that makes it feel like a fashion film. The brief We're looking for a visual storyteller — someone who thinks in narrative, not just cuts. We don't want a passive editor who assembles clips to a brief. We want a creative partner who can take our footage and a brand and build a story out of it: deciding the arc, the tension, the reveal, the rhythm, the moment that makes someone stop scrolling. The output is a series of short-form adverts (15–45 seconds for Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube). The aesthetic target is Vogue meets GitHub meets an engineering convention — cinematic, high-contrast, rhythmic, premium. Real engineers, real screens, real code — treated like a fashion film. You'll be: Conceiving the story behind each ad — shaping a narrative with a beginning, build, and payoff Editing our existing workshop footage into punchy, narrative-driven cuts with strong pacing and rhythm Generating AI B-roll and blending it seamlessly with our real footage so the two feel like one cohesive piece Adding motion graphics, type treatments, and transitions that match our editorial brand (we'll share brand guidelines, colour palette, and logo assets) Building a consistent visual language and storytelling style across a series, not just one-off clips Tools This project specifically involves generating B-roll with AI tooling such as Runway and/or Higgsfield and integrating it with our stock footage, alongside whatever editing suite you're strongest in (Premiere, DaVinci, After Effects, etc.). Experience with Kaiber, Pika, or similar stylized-generation tools is a plus. The key skill we're testing for is making generated B-roll sit invisibly alongside real footage — matching grade, grain, motion, and mood. If you have a smarter workflow than ours, we want to hear it. You're a great fit if you Think like a director or storyteller first, an editor second — you have a point of view about what story a piece should tell Can take real, sometimes-unglamorous footage (people at laptops) and find the cinematic story inside it Know how to make AI-generated B-roll blend seamlessly with real footage — colour, motion, and texture matched so the seams disappear Have a reel that shows editorial / fashion / brand-film sensibility, not just functional edits Understand pacing, restraint, and how to make something feel premium rather than busy Can carry a consistent narrative and visual identity across multiple pieces in a series To apply, please include Your reel or 2–3 relevant samples (editorial / brand / fashion-style work especially welcome) A short note on how you'd approach telling a story with our footage, and specifically how you blend real footage with AI-generated B-roll — which tools, and how you match them Any example where you combined real and generated/stylized footage into one seamless piece
