Visual C++ developer needed

0. BUDGET IS A PLACEHOLDER AT THE MOMENT I have paid more than 105k+ USD to freelancers in last few months. I have worked with more than 130 developers here and currently working with 130 developers. 1. I have a legacy system built in Visual C++ almost around 10 years back. It basically communicates with a govt API using socket communication. It uses winsock.h for communicating with the API using Win32 programming. 2. These programs are using SQL Server 2000 to store data and making DB connection. 3. There are more than like 15 small projects that are there out of 10-12 have been already converted and they are now connecting to SQL Server 2019 the latest version and latest DLLs 4. The program does nothing but sends message throgh socket to govt API and store the results into the database. So its pretty straightforward and no rocket science involved. 5. The programmer will need to upgrade rest of the projects and implement a new API using winsock. 6. The legacy system currently support more than 10k customers and this new system will phase out the legacy system in next few years. So its a long term job that would be continuous. 7. We would require someone to spend around 10-20 hours a week and on demand more if possible. 8. Will give you a small task first and you can tell me how many hours you would need to do it. If you can do that successfully I will pay immediately and hire you hourly for the task. 10. If you are looking for high pay this project is not for you but if you are looking for continuous job and dont look looking for job every now and then it could be ideal for you. 11. Over the time if you can prove your worthiness, we can go into an hourly arrangement. 12. My job is not very urgent so if you have a high paying buyer I dont mind you telling me "look I am going to spend some time on the higher paying project now and come back to you " unless I have something very urgent. 13. You will need to be patient in the begining and not very money minded. Money will keep flowing once we have trust on each other. 14. We need serious developers and not someone leaving us in the middle. 15. You learn a lot from me. For example, in a company if you are 1-2 year experienced you never get an opportunity to work with 22+ year experienced guy. You can cash on my ability and end to end understanding of the industry. 16. You will get a good feedback from me. 5 star rating even if you do an average job. 17. I am a very flexible and understanding person to work with. I will understand your pain points and will also understand what is doable and what is not which you would never get from a non technical customer. 18. I will maintain all communications with my customers so you would need not worry about it. 19. There will be no strict deadlines for the task but I will ask for a ball park estimate. 20. We would first ask you to set up the project and once you have set up we would give you a small task and you need to give an estimate like a range X-Y for the task. If you can complete the task within X-Y we will be paying you for the task.
