Voice Actors for Dutch Characters – Male & Female – Audio & Video Guide

Hello! We are looking for talented voice actors to bring a series of characters to life for an audio and video guide. This project revolves entirely around storytelling. We are seeking both male and female voices to play various roles. Artists are welcome to audition for multiple roles if they feel they fit the descriptions. Requirements: • Must be a native Dutch speaker. • Must be able to follow direction from us in English. • Reliable, easy to direct, and possesses a voice that makes people smile! Recording Date: TBC – likely within the next month. Roles and Audition Scripts 1. Schelpenduiker (+/- 350 woorden – Oudere mannenstem; sterk, stabiel, vriendelijk en warm): • VOORBEELDSCRIPT: “Sommige riffen, zoals dit Great Barrier Reef, groeien al tienduizenden jaren. Maar koraalriffen ontstonden meer dan 240 miljoen jaar geleden, waardoor ze tot de oudste levende systemen op aarde behoren. Ouder dan de dinosaurussen… en misschien zelfs ouder dan deze oude schelpenduiker!” 2. Natuurbeschermer (+/- 550 woorden – Stem van een vrouw van middelbare leeftijd; enthousiast en vol verwondering): • VOORBEELDSCRIPT: “Als natuurbeschermer besteed ik veel van mijn tijd aan het samenbrengen van mensen. En dat is niet altijd makkelijk! [korte pauze] Ik denk dat koraal ons iets kan leren over teamwork, over hoe we sterker kunnen zijn wanneer we samenwerken. De symbiotische relatie met zoöxanthellen is een echt partnerschap.” 3. Schattig Personage (+/- 750 woorden – Kinderlijke stem; nieuwsgierig, vrolijk, maar soms onzeker): • VOORBEELDSCRIPT: “We staan aan de toegangspoort van een magische wereld onder de zee. Op een dag ga ik op een koraalrif wonen, net als dit! [dromerige zucht] Ik ben nog maar een klein poliepje. Dat ben ik op je scherm, ik lijk op een omgekeerde kwal. Ik heb nog een heeele lange weg te gaan voordat ik groot ben...” 4. Wetenschapper (+/- 650 woorden – Heldere, rustige en optimistische vrouwenstem): • VOORBEELDSCRIPT: “We hebben een manier gevonden om de gemeenschap van een herstellend rif opnieuw op te bouwen door rifgeluiden de oceaan in uit te zenden. Het is alsof we een boodschap de grote blauwe zee insturen: kom terug, hier is het veilig!” Technical Requirements & Process • Live Direction: We would like to be present remotely during the recording session (via Zoom or Google Meet) alongside a colleague. This allows us to provide real-time feedback to get the perfect take together. • Shortlisting: If you are shortlisted, we will require about three additional lines as a secondary sample before making the final hiring decision. • Pickups/Retakes: The project includes the possibility of two brief additional sessions. These will be used to record a few new lines or make quick adjustments after the main session. • Delivery: Clean, high-quality audio files (preferably WAV) with no background noise. • Budget: US$200.00 (Fixed price covering the initial session plus the two potential short pickup sessions). Usage & Rights • Rights: Please note that we will retain all rights to the recordings for use in our audio and video experiences.
