Summary

We are hiring an experienced AI engineer to build a real-time voice agent platform for automating inbound customer support and call center operations. Our current support workflow depends heavily on manual call handling, resulting in long wait times, inconsistent responses, missed follow-ups, and high operational costs during peak hours. We want to replace repetitive support interactions with AI voice agents capable of handling conversations naturally while integrating with our internal systems in real time. The system should be capable of: Handling inbound and outbound voice conversations Understanding customer intent and routing requests intelligently Accessing internal data and APIs during live calls Scheduling appointments, creating tickets, and updating CRM records Generating call summaries and operational logs automatically Supporting multi-step conversational workflows with memory and context retention Escalating complex cases to human agents when required Technical Requirements: Python backend development Real-time AI voice systems OpenAI / LLM integration Speech-to-text and text-to-speech pipelines FastAPI and WebSocket architecture API integrations with CRM and internal tools Conversation state management and workflow orchestration Scalable backend infrastructure for concurrent call handling Preferred Experience: AI voice agents or conversational AI systems Twilio, LiveKit, SIP, or telephony integrations Real-time streaming pipelines AI automation and workflow systems Production-scale backend architecture We are looking for someone who can design reliable AI voice workflows that improve customer response time, reduce repetitive support load, and operate effectively under high call volume environments.
