Job Title: YouTube Documentary Voice Over Artist, AI Edutainment Channel (Human Voice Only, Long-Term) Job Overview: We are a growing YouTube channel in the AI edutainment documentary niche — making artificial intelligence compelling, cinematic, and accessible to a curious non-technical audience. We are building a channel that feels like a Netflix documentary, not a YouTube tutorial. The voice is the emotional backbone of every video — it carries the tension, the curiosity, and the credibility that keeps a viewer watching for 20+ minutes. We are looking for a human voice over artist with a natural western English delivery who can bring a pre-formatted script to life with intelligence, warmth, and controlled urgency. Important: We do not use AI-generated voice tools. Human delivery only. Our performance benchmarks: Audience retention: 40%+ Average watch time: 50%+ per video Video length: 12–24 minutes — the voice carries the viewer the entire way This starts as a project of 8–10 videos with strong intention of becoming a long-term working relationship (6 months+) for the right artist. What You'll Be Doing: Recording voice over narration for AI documentary-style YouTube videos Following a pre-formatted voice actor script — emotion cues, emphasis markers, pacing notes, and breath points are all provided Delivering narration in a tone of conversational intelligence with controlled urgency — think ColdFusion meets Netflix documentary narrator Not a news anchor, not a podcast host — an intelligent, engaging storyteller building tension over 20+ minutes Delivering broadcast-ready audio files per video Turning around recordings within 48–72 hours of receiving the script You Are a Strong Fit If You: Speak in a natural western English accent — US, UK, Australian, Canadian, or equivalent fluent western cadence Have a home studio setup — clean, noise-free recordings with no room echo or background interference Can follow a formatted script precisely — emotion cues and pacing notes are direction, not suggestions Can sustain consistent energy and tone across a 20+ minute recording without fatigue or drift Understand the difference between reading a script and performing a script Have experience in documentary, educational, or long-form narration Are willing to submit a paid audition recording before being selected Are a human voice artist — AI voice tools are not acceptable for this role Required Skills: Voice Over Narration Documentary / Long-Form Narration Home Studio Recording Audio Delivery (Broadcast-Ready) Western English Fluency Script Performance & Interpretation Consistent Tone & Energy Management Audio Delivery Requirements-Every recording must be delivered as: Format: WAV or MP3 (WAV preferred) Sample rate: 44.1kHz or 48kHz, 24-bit Levels: Clean peaks, no clipping, consistent volume throughout Noise floor: Silent — no background hum, echo, breath noise, or room reverb One file per video — fully recorded, no gaps or missing sections Project Details: Type: Fixed Price per video Scope: Large Project Duration: 6 months+ Location: Worldwide — US, UK, Australia, Canada, India, Eastern Europe, South Africa, and beyond welcome if western English fluency is demonstrated Experience Level: Entry level welcome — we are looking for hidden talent who can demonstrate skill through their audition Budget: $25 per video Performance-based rate increases available as channel grows and results are proven Our Culture & Expectations: We run a small, focused operation where every collaborator is treated as a long-term partner. The voice artist is one of the most important roles on the team — we take this seriously and expect the same. What you can expect from us: Fully formatted voice actor scripts delivered before every recording — no guessing required Clear direction on tone, pacing, and emotional arc per video Prompt feedback within 24 hours Consistent, reliable work for the right person Respect for your craft — if something in the script feels unnatural to deliver, tell us What we expect from you: 48–72 hour turnaround after script delivery Broadcast-ready audio — no raw, unedited, or noisy files Clean communication — availability confirmed before each project Willingness to re-record specific lines if direction changes Human voice only — no AI enhancement of the core narration How to Apply-In your proposal please include: Voice over samples — documentary, educational, or long-form narration preferred? Your home studio setup — briefly describe your recording environment and equipment? Your typical turnaround time for a 20-minute narration?
