Watch Face Designer (UI/UX) — Custom Smartwatch Dials for a Health-Tech Brand

Gard Pro is a health-tech wearables brand What we're looking for A designer who specializes in smartwatch watch faces / dials not a generalist UI designer trying watch faces for the first time on our project. You should live in this niche: dial layout, legibility, complications, animation, and the real constraints of small round/square AMOLED displays. What you'll design Custom watch faces for our wearables analog, digital, hybrid, and data-dense "fitness" styles A cohesive library/system of faces that fit the Gard Pro brand, not disconnected one-offs Complications and data layouts (steps, heart rate, battery, weather, date) that stay legible at a glance Production-ready assets and specs our firmware/dev team can implement and ideally you implement them yourself in the relevant tool/format For real device constraints: resolution, always-on display, burn-in, battery, color depth Must-have experience 1. A portfolio of watch faces/dials you personally designed and shipped 2. Hands-on with at least one major watch-face platform or pipeline: Samsung Watch Face Studio, Garmin Connect IQ, Wear OS / Watch Face Format, Facer, WatchMaker, or a comparable firmware/SDK pipeline (e.g. Amazfit / Zepp OS) 3. A clear sense of what the market leaders do well Apple Watch, Garmin, Samsung Galaxy Watch, Amazfit and the ability to design to that bar 4. Strong instincts for small-display design: contrast, glanceability, hierarchy Nice to have - Experience designing for budget/mid-tier smartwatch chipsets and firmware (resource-constrained, not just flagship hardware) - Motion/animation skills for animated faces - Experience handing off to or working directly with embedded/firmware teams - Health or fitness wearable domain experience To apply read this part: Generic "I do all UI/UX" proposals will be ignored.
