Freelance Watercolor Illustrator Needed for Premium Children's Sleepwear Brand Dreamers is a premium children's sleepwear brand looking for a talented watercolor artist to create beautiful, hand-painted artwork for our pajama collections. We are seeking an artist with a highly detailed, realistic watercolor style—artwork that feels timeless, whimsical, and sophisticated while still appealing to children. Think storybook-quality illustrations rather than cartoon or clip-art styles. About the Project. We will provide: * A detailed creative brief for each print * Inspiration images and mood boards * Direction on the icons, color palette, composition, and overall aesthetic Your role will be to transform our concepts into original watercolor illustrations that can be used as repeating prints for children's pajamas. Examples of themes we've created include: * Animals in hot air balloons * Ballet dancers * Cherries * Construction dinosaurs * Trains with teddy bears * New York City icons * Vintage toys * Sports * Fairies, woodland animals, and seasonal themes We have many more collections planned and are looking for someone we can build a long-term relationship with. The Style We're Looking For: Our ideal artwork is: * Hand-painted watercolor (traditional or digital watercolor that looks authentic) * Highly detailed and realistic * Soft, elegant, and whimsical * Full of texture and dimension * Suitable for premium children's apparel * Original artwork (no AI-generated or stock artwork) Deliverables: For each project, we will typically request: * 5–15 individual watercolor illustrations ("icons") * High-resolution layered files * Transparent backgrounds * Editable files (PSD, AI, or Procreate, depending on your workflow) * Commercial rights transferred upon final payment When Applying, Please Include: 1. Your portfolio, especially watercolor illustrations. 2. Examples of children's artwork or surface pattern designs. 3. Your pricing: * Per illustration (icon) * Per full print/project (if applicable) 4. Your typical turnaround time. 5. How your revision process works. 6. Confirmation that all artwork is 100% original and created by you. 7. Whether you have experience designing artwork for children's apparel, textiles, wallpaper, stationery, or other surface pattern design.
