Summary

Project Description We are a marketing agency hiring on behalf of our client, Howdy Lighting, a commercial and residential lighting supplier based in South Dallas, TX. This website is not for our agency; it is for our client, so the freelancer must be comfortable working professionally within an agency-client workflow. We need an experienced WordPress developer/designer to build the site on Hostinger. The freelancer must have strong CMS capabilities, including setting up a clean, easy-to-manage backend so our team and/or the client can update content, product information, pages, images, and spec sheets after launch. This is an urgent project, so we need someone who can begin quickly, communicate clearly in good English, and provide consistent updates. Project Overview Howdy Lighting supplies commercial and residential lighting products to contractors, distributors, and homeowners across the DFW Metroplex. The website should look professional, trustworthy, and supplier/manufacturer-style, while making it clear that the company offers local stock, fast delivery, product expertise, and competitive pricing. The site should be modeled in quality and structure after lighting/e-commerce competitors such as ledsion.com. Platform Requirements The website must be built using: * WordPress * Hostinger hosting * A CMS structure that is easy for non-technical users to manage * Clean page builder or theme setup * Product/category management * Spec sheet PDF upload/download capability * SEO-friendly page structure * Scalable setup for future Google Ads landing pages The freelancer should be able to advise on the best WordPress setup, theme, plugins, and backend structure for this type of site. Core Website Features Product Catalog The site needs a professional catalog-style structure organized by application/use, including: * Parking lot / outdoor area lighting * Warehouse / industrial lighting * Linear and round high bays * Commercial office lighting * Flat panels * Commercial downlights * Residential lighting * Wall packs * Poles and tenons * Exit / emergency lighting * Specialty / hazardous location lighting Each product page should support product descriptions, images, specifications, and downloadable PDF spec sheets. Role-Based Pricing This is a critical feature. Guests and homeowners should not be able to see pricing. Pricing should only be visible after login and manual approval as either: * Contractor — 20% discount * Distributor — 40% discount Contractors and distributors must be able to register through the website, but approval should be handled manually before they receive access to pricing. The registration form should collect: * Company name and address * Resale/tax ID number * Website or portfolio link * Contact person * Phone number * Warehouse or office location Lead Generation & Contact Features The website should make it easy for prospects to contact the business through: * Phone call * Text/SMS * Email * Contact form * Quote request form The site should also include a Find a Contractor/Distributor feature. Delivery & Fulfillment Information The website should clearly explain: * Local courier delivery within 30 miles of downtown Dallas * FedEx shipping * Free pickup at the South Dallas location * Separate delivery pricing for poles/pole delivery Branding & Design The visual direction should include: * Rustic color palette * Clean commercial lighting look * Professional supplier/manufacturer-style presentation * Easy navigation * Strong calls to action Western/rustic theme ideas may be referenced, but the final design should remain professional and not overly stylized. SEO & Marketing Requirements Because we are a marketing agency, the site must be built with SEO, conversion, and future campaign management in mind. The build should include: * SEO-friendly URL structure * Optimized product/category pages * Metadata fields or SEO plugin setup * Fast-loading pages * Clear CTAs * Google Ads landing page capability * Easy CMS editing for future marketing campaigns Initial SEO focus areas include: * Area lights * Wall packs * Poles * Flat panels * Commercial downlights * Linear high bays * Round high bays * Exit and emergency lighting * DFW commercial lighting supplier keywords Key Selling Points to Emphasize The site should communicate: * Local stock and fast delivery across DFW * Delivery to contractors within approximately 3 hours * High-quality lighting drivers * Better quality than cheap Amazon-style competitors * Lighting layout support * Job walk service for contractors * 5-year warranty positioning * Competitive pricing Ideal Freelancer The ideal freelancer must have: * Strong WordPress development experience * Experience working with Hostinger * Strong CMS setup skills * Experience with product catalogs or WooCommerce-style builds * Experience with user roles, restricted pricing, wholesale portals, or gated content * Good design sense * SEO-aware development approach * Strong English * Clear communication * Ability to work with a marketing agency on a client project * Ability to work quickly on an urgent timeline * Attention to detail and willingness to follow provided requirements closely Experience with B2B, wholesale, distributor, construction, lighting, or trade-industry websites is a plus. Application Instructions Please include the following in your proposal: * Examples of similar WordPress websites you have built * Confirmation that you can build on WordPress using Hostinger * Your experience with CMS setup and client-friendly backend management * Your recommended plugins or approach for role-based pricing * Estimated timeline * Confirmation that you can communicate clearly in English * Confirmation that you understand this project is for our agency’s client, not our own internal website * Any questions about the catalog, approval workflow, or restricted pricing setup
