Summary

We are looking for an honest, highly reliable, and proactive Web Designer & Developer to work directly with our Lead on two key website projects. You must possess a strong balance of front-end design aesthetics and back-end functionality, with a deep understanding of e-commerce ecosystems. This is a fixed-price project consisting of two distinct websites: 1. Website 1 (Refinement): Already largely developed; requires high-end design enhancements, front-end refinement, and UI/UX optimization for a polished, professional look. 2. Website 2 (E-Commerce Overhaul): An existing e-commerce platform that is currently non-functional. Requires technical fixes, modern UI/UX redesign, and backend integrations (including connecting with overseas supplier warehouse systems). Key Responsibilities - Collaborate closely with the team lead to design, develop, and modernize both web properties. - Take full ownership of UI/UX presentation, ensuring layouts are visually striking, fast, and user-friendly. - Manage development cycles via staging environments, providing regular preview links for feedback and approval. - Maintain radical transparency by providing daily/regular progress updates via email or project management tools. Required Technical Skills & Qualifications - Advanced knowledge of WordPress, WooCommerce, and Shopify. - Extensive experience customizing the Divi Theme, including custom layouts, advanced CSS styling, and functionality overrides. - Proficient with Figma, Adobe XD, or Photoshop to translate design concepts into functional code. - Comfortable working with SSH/Shell access and Linux command-line environments. - Solid grasp of product management, checkout optimization, and external API/warehouse integrations. - Strong English skills, high integrity, and a proactive attitude toward suggesting creative improvements. - Must be located in one of these time zones for sufficient Australian business hours overlap: - AEST/AEDT/NZST (Australia/New Zealand) - UTC+8 to UTC+9 (Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea)
