Webflow Localization Rescue
Worldwide
WIXAR builds immersive (VR/AI) training software for high-stakes situations. Our marketing site runs on Webflow, source language French. The situation: A previous freelancer set up an automatic FR→EN translation system. It has since broken, never worked well to begin with, and the freelancer left with no documentation or handover. We need someone to (1) diagnose what's actually in place, and (2) fix or rebuild the English version so it's reliable and reads naturally. Adding Spanish is a possible follow-on, priced separately (see below). Scope — phased: Phase 1 — Audit (small fixed fee): Identify what translation system was built (Webflow native Localization, a proxy tool like Weglot, custom code/scripts, etc.). Explain why the English version broke and why quality is poor. Recommend repair vs. rebuild, with a clear cost/time estimate for Phase 2. Deliverable: a short written diagnosis + recommendation. Phase 2 — Fix English (core, scoped after audit): Fix or migrate the English locale — strong preference for Webflow's native Localization unless you can justify otherwise (maintainable in-platform, clean hreflang/sitemap/localized URLs). Translation workflow: machine translation as a first draft, human review on key/conversion pages (we'll define which). No raw unreviewed machine output on those pages. QA: locale switching, per-locale metadata, no broken or untranslated elements at publish. Phase 3 — Spanish locale (OPTIONAL — quote separately): Add a Spanish locale ([Spain / Latin America — TBD]), same quality standard as English. Please price this as a separate, optional line item. We will decide go/no-go after Phase 2, based on cost and audit findings. Do not bundle it into the core quote. Deliverables: A working English locale (Spanish if commissioned), plus a written handover doc + short Loom so our team can add and maintain content ourselves. No undocumented custom dependencies. Required skills: Proven Webflow native Localization experience; ability to reverse-engineer an undocumented/broken multilingual setup; international SEO (hreflang, localized metadata); front-end design judgment for text-length differences across languages. Portfolio of multilingual Webflow sites required. Engagement: Phased fixed price. Phase 1 (audit) first; Phase 2 quoted on findings; Phase 3 (Spanish) optional and quoted separately.
