Wordpress site needs to be rebuild. Here s the fix list. **Context for freelancer:** WordPress site (Astra theme / Starter Templates) for a luxury wedding transportation company in Orlando. Site was set up but never finished — default theme content is still live, several links are dead, and there's no way for a customer to actually contact or book. Need someone to clean this up and make it functional. --- ## 🔴 P0 — Critical (fix first, blocking business function) 1. **Site title/meta still says "Just another Astra Starter Templates site"** - This is the default WordPress Starter Template title tag. It's what appears in Google search results and social share previews for the homepage. Needs a real, branded title + meta description (e.g. "Romantic Rides | Luxury Wedding Transportation in Orlando"). 2. **No contact page or booking method** - Only a phone number in the header. No email, no contact form, no address, no online inquiry/booking flow. Add a Contact page with a form (name, event date, phone, email, message) that actually emails somewhere, plus visible business email and service area. 3. **Broken internal links (404s)** - At least one indexed blog post (`/wedding-transportation-orlando/`) currently returns a 404. Audit all internal links and fix or redirect broken ones (Screaming Frog or similar crawl recommended). 4. **Dead/empty links on homepage** - Multiple links point to empty anchors (`href=""`) — likely social icons or CTA buttons that were never connected. Find and wire these up or remove them. --- ## 🟠 P1 — High priority (hurting conversions/SEO) 5. **Homepage has no real content** - Currently just a headline ("Romantic Rides Transportation") and nav — no services overview, fleet showcase, photos, testimonials, or call-to-action. This is the first thing visitors see; it needs to actually sell the service. 6. **Navigation doesn't include the blog/service pages** - Main menu only has "Transportation" and "Locations." The existing blog posts (Orlando/Miami guides) aren't linked from anywhere in the nav — visitors and search engines have no path to them except direct search hits. 7. **WordPress author archive is publicly indexed** - `/author/admin/` is live and indexed by Google, exposing backend structure. Disable author archives or noindex them (Yoast/RankMath setting). 8. **Duplicate/templated blog content** - The Orlando and Miami "luxury car service" posts are near-identical in structure and phrasing, just with the city swapped — plus rough, unedited copy (missing apostrophes, at least one sentence that cuts off mid-word). Risks a duplicate-content SEO penalty and reads unpolished for a luxury brand. Needs a rewrite pass, not just a proofread. --- ## 🟡 P2 — Medium priority (polish/growth) 9. **No fleet gallery or pricing info** - For a vehicle service, there's no page showing the actual cars, capacity, or rate structure/quote process. Add a fleet page with photos and clear next steps to inquire. 10. **Meta titles/descriptions across other pages likely still default** - Audit every page/post for unique, keyword-appropriate title + meta description (not just the homepage). 11. **Mobile & speed audit** - Run a Lighthouse/PageSpeed check on mobile — no obvious blockers found from this scan, but worth confirming given theme bloat is common with Astra Starter Templates. 12. **Duplicate phone number elements in header** - Two identical `tel:` links appear stacked in the header — likely a leftover template artifact (mobile + desktop versions both rendering). Clean up so only one shows per breakpoint. --- ## Suggested scope for Upwork post *"WordPress cleanup for a small business site — fix broken links, replace default theme content with real branded copy/meta, add a working contact form, fix indexing issues (noindex author pages), and do a content pass on 2-3 existing blog posts to de-duplicate and polish the copy.
