Wedding Photo Editor — Lightroom Color Correction & Quality Review

Summary

OVERVIEW I'm a professional wedding photographer based in the US looking for a detail-oriented photo editor to join my workflow on an ongoing, per-project basis. My post-processing pipeline uses AfterShoot AI to handle initial culling and batch editing. Your role is the quality control step that comes after — reviewing the AI-edited Lightroom Classic catalog, catching any color correction issues the automation missed, and ensuring every delivered image meets a consistent, professional standard before the gallery goes to the client. This is a long-term relationship, not a one-off gig. I'm looking for someone who takes ownership of their work, communicates proactively when something is unclear, and wants to grow into a reliable part of my team as volume increases. WHAT YOU'LL DO • Receive a Lightroom Classic catalog after AfterShoot AI culling and editing is complete • Review all selected images for color consistency, white balance accuracy, and exposure issues the AI may have missed • Apply targeted color correction adjustments where needed — not full re-editing, just fixing what's off • Flag any images that require a judgment call or style decision so we can discuss and build a shared reference • Return the corrected catalog within the agreed turnaround window • Communicate proactively if you have questions, spot a pattern, or want to confirm you're on the right track WHAT YOU WON'T BE DOING • Full editing from scratch — AfterShoot handles the heavy lifting • Culling — images are already selected before they reach you • Retouching, skin smoothing, or compositing REQUIREMENTS • Proficient in Adobe Lightroom Classic (non-negotiable) • Experience editing wedding or portrait photography • Strong eye for color accuracy, white balance, and exposure consistency • Reliable internet connection and file transfer capability (catalogs can be large) • Communicates clearly in English — proactive questions are welcomed and expected • Available to meet a 7-day turnaround from catalog delivery NICE TO HAVE • Familiarity with AfterShoot or other AI editing tools • Experience with batch editing wedding galleries (500–1,000 images) • Experience working with US-based photographers remotely RATE & VOLUME • $40 USD fixed price per wedding, up to 1,200 images • Starting volume: 1–2 weddings per month/As needed • Volume will grow as we establish a reliable workflow together • Looking to build a long-term ongoing relationship — if this goes well, you'll be my go-to editor for every event HOW TO APPLY To be considered, please include the following in your proposal: 1. 2–3 before/after examples of wedding or portrait color correction work (screenshots or a portfolio link are fine) 2. A brief description of your Lightroom workflow — how do you approach color consistency across a large batch? 3. Your typical availability and turnaround time Top candidates will be invited to complete a paid test edit ($10) using a real catalog — a small batch of images so I can see your eye and your communication style before we commit to a full event. Proposals without before/after examples will not be reviewed. A NOTE ON WORKING TOGETHER I run a small, high-touch wedding photography business. My clients expect a lot, and so do I — but I also believe in building a workflow that works for both of us. If something isn't clear, I want you to ask. If you notice a pattern in my style, tell me. The goal is a partnership where you can eventually work independently with minimal back-and-forth, because we've taken the time to get it right upfront. If that sounds like your kind of work, I'd love to hear from you.
