Weighted Vest Concept Development

I'm developing a weighted vest for Ruckaway, an Australian rucking and fitness brand. This is load-bearing equipment, not standard apparel. The vest carries a meaningful load using removable steel inserts in reinforced pockets, and it has to sit stable and comfortable on the body while walking. I'm targeting around 10kg or more, and I'm open to your input on what's achievable without major design compromise. I'm looking for a designer to help me finalise the design. I have a clear vision and competitor reference, and I want to refine it with someone who knows load-bearing gear: things like the best materials, how the wearer adjusts the fit, how the weight sits and stays stable, and the overall construction. The deliverable is concept sketches and design direction, not a full production tech pack at this stage. What matters most is proven experience designing textile products that carry real load: weighted vests, plate carriers, backpack harnesses, suspension trainers, weightlifting gear or similar. Fashion or activewear experience on its own won't be enough, since this is a load-distribution problem first and a garment second. If the concept stage goes well, there's a clear follow-on: a full tech pack and prototype/sampling support, plus genuine potential for ongoing work as the brand expands its range.
