WhatsApp Automation Expert (API + OpenAI Integration) to Test, Fix & Rebuild

We have a live system that connects WhatsApp conversations (via API) to OpenAI for automated responses. We need an expert to test it thoroughly, fix its issues, and rebuild it into something better. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Test the existing WhatsApp automation end to end and document what breaks - Diagnose and fix bugs in the WhatsApp API integration and the OpenAI connection - Improve conversation flow, reliability, and response quality - Redesign and rebuild the system into a cleaner, more robust version - Handle edge cases (message delivery, queueing, error handling, rate limits) REQUIRED SKILLS - Proven, deep experience with WhatsApp automation (WhatsApp Business API / provider APIs) - Strong experience integrating LLMs, specifically OpenAI, into conversational systems - Solid backend skills to debug, refactor, and rebuild the integration layer - Experience with webhooks, message queues, and async processing - A debugging mindset: able to step into an existing system, understand it fast, and fix it NICE TO HAVE - Experience with a specific WhatsApp provider (e.g. Kapso, Meta Cloud API, Twilio, etc.) - Prompt engineering for production chatbots - Arabic-language chatbot experience WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Someone who has genuinely built and shipped WhatsApp + AI automations before, not someone learning on our project. You should be comfortable inheriting an existing system, finding its weak points, and making it better. Clear communication and the ability to explain technical decisions are important.
