WhatsApp Community Manager & Moderator

AI After 5 is a global community of ambitious women builders, founders, and leaders who are curious about AI. We believe that what you do in your 5-to-9 determines your success in your 9-to-5. We host virtual workshops, local in-person meetups, and provide educational resources to help women move from the sidelines to the driver’s seat of AI. Our primary hub of connection is our WhatsApp community. We are looking for an organized, warm, and proactive Community Manager & Moderator to help us keep our community channels active, engaging, and highly organized. Key Responsibilities: Daily WhatsApp Moderation: Welcome new members, monitor group chats, answer general inquiries, and ensure all conversations remain high-vibe, supportive, and free of spam. Engagement & Feedback Tracking: Monitor what members are asking for (e.g., specific templates, slides, tool recommendations) and log this feedback in a shared Google Doc for the founders. Post-Event Support: Attend or review our weekly virtual workshops, distribute event recordings and resources to the group, and answer follow-up questions from attendees. Job Board Sourcing: Source 5–10 relevant tech and AI job opportunities per week (focusing on US and European markets) and format them for the weekly community announcement. Operational Liaison: Coordinate with the co-founders to schedule weekly kickoff posts, member spotlights, and weekend prompts. Requirements: Experience: 1–3 years of experience managing or moderating online communities (WhatsApp, Slack, Discord, or Facebook Groups). Communication: Exceptional written communication skills with a warm, encouraging, and professional tone. Responsiveness: Ability to check in on the community channels multiple times a day (Monday – Saturday) and respond to member questions within 24 hours. Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets) and Canva. A curiosity or basic familiarity with generative AI tools (like ChatGPT, Claude) is highly preferred. Organizational Skills: High attention to detail. You are someone who notices when a question goes unanswered and takes initiative to close the loop. Project Details: Hours: 5–10 hours per week (distributed across short check-ins daily). Duration: Ongoing, long-term collaboration. Location: Remote (Flexible timezone, but must be available to check chat channels during EST or GMT working hours). Compensation: Hourly rate commensurate with experience.
