White Paper Layout Designer – InDesign | Established Brand | 2-Week Turnaround

We're looking for an experienced layout graphic designer to take over and complete a 66 page white paper in Adobe InDesign. This project is already in progress and needs a new designer to complete it. Brand guidelines and graphic assets have already been established. What you'll be working with: - 66+ page Whitepaper (delivered in InDesign). A draft exists but requires substantial rework across brand alignment, color application, typography, layout consistency, and accessibility. Page by page comments are prepared, along with design notes - Comprehensive brand guidelines including color hierarchy, typography, and imagery direction - Established visual brand with hand-drawn graphic elements and illustration assets What we need: - A redesign that faithfully follows our brand guidelines - Consistent section-by-section color treatment, typography hierarchy, and iconography style throughout - Accessible design - Thoughtful use of pull quotes, data callouts, and visual elements to break up text-heavy sections - Selection and integration of brand photography and stock imagery that aligns with our imagery guidelines Deliverables: print-ready PDF, editable InDesign source file, and all linked assets Timeline: Designed deliverable due within one week of receiving assets, following two rounds of feedback that will occur within a subsequent week. This is a firm deadline. Requirements: - Strong InDesign proficiency is non-negotiable - Comfort working within an existing brand system and following brand guidelines precisely - Experience designing white papers, reports, or long-form publications, ideally for NGOs or global development organizations - Attention to detail, particularly around alignment, spacing, and consistency Please share examples of long-form document design work (white papers, reports, or similar) that demonstrate your ability to follow an established brand system.
