Whiteboard Explainer Video Editor – Engineering Channel

Position: Whiteboard Video Editor Channel Type: Engineering Whiteboard Explainer (Faceless) Production Schedule: 1-2 videos per week Pay: $40 per video About the Role We're looking for an experienced whiteboard/animated explainer video editor to produce high-quality educational videos for our growing engineering channel. You'll transform scripts and concepts into engaging whiteboard-style animations that break down complex engineering topics into digestible, visual content. No on-camera presence—pure whiteboard animation excellence. Responsibilities Create smooth, professional whiteboard animations from scripts/voiceover Design clear, concise visuals that explain engineering concepts step-by-step Animate drawings, diagrams, and technical illustrations Synchronize animations with voiceover timing and pacing Add text overlays, transitions, and visual emphasis to guide viewer attention Maintain consistent drawing style, colors, and branding across videos Ensure video quality meets YouTube standards Meet deadlines for 2 videos per week (or as scheduled) Incorporate feedback and revisions promptly Required Skills & Experience Proven Portfolio: 3+ whiteboard explainer videos you've created (YouTube links or demo reel) Software Proficiency: Expert-level experience with whiteboard animation tools such as: Powtoon, Doodly, Animaker, Adobe Animate, or similar Or traditional animation/motion graphics tools (After Effects, Blender, Clip Studio, etc.) Design Ability: Strong visual communication—ability to simplify complex topics into clear diagrams Attention to Detail: Smooth animations, proper timing, and professional output References: Links to your portfolio channel or client channels featuring your work Reliability: Consistent delivery and responsive communication What We're Looking For Experience with educational/explainer content (ideal: engineering, STEM, or technical topics) Fast turnaround without sacrificing quality Ability to work independently with written briefs Comfort with technical subject matter or willingness to learn Professional approach to revisions and feedback What We Provide Clear creative direction and reference channel (see below) Detailed scripts, voiceover, and visual guidelines Consistent pay-per-video structure ($40/video) Long-term partnership opportunity for reliable performers Application Requirements Please submit: Portfolio/Proof of Work: Direct links to 2–3 whiteboard explainer videos you've created on YouTube Reference Links: Your own channel or past client channels featuring your work Software & Tools: Specify which whiteboard/animation software you use Turnaround Time: How long you typically need to complete one video (average length: [your video length]) Brief Intro: Why you're interested in this role and any experience with engineering or educational content Reference Channel We're modeling our style after: https://www.youtube.com/@uncivil.engineering Please watch a few videos to understand our target aesthetic, pacing, and complexity level.
