Wix Developer Full-Time • Remote About the Role We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Wix Developer to join our growing team. This role is responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and optimizing websites built on the Wix platform for a variety of clients across multiple industries. The ideal candidate has strong experience with Wix Studio, responsive web design, custom functionality, SEO best practices, and website performance optimization. This individual should be comfortable working in a fast-paced agency environment, collaborating with account managers, designers, marketers, and clients to deliver high-quality websites that drive results. Key Responsibilities Website Development & Maintenance Build, customize, and maintain websites using Wix and Wix Studio. Develop responsive websites that function seamlessly across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices. Implement website updates, content changes, and enhancements based on client requests. Troubleshoot website issues and resolve bugs in a timely manner. Perform routine website maintenance, testing, and quality assurance. Custom Functionality & Integrations Utilize Velo by Wix to create custom functionality and dynamic website features. Integrate third-party applications, forms, CRM systems, booking tools, payment gateways, and marketing platforms. Configure and manage databases, collections, and dynamic pages within Wix. Develop custom workflows and automation solutions to improve website functionality. SEO & Performance Optimization Implement on-page SEO best practices, including metadata, redirects, structured content, and site architecture. Optimize website speed, performance, and user experience. Ensure websites meet accessibility standards and industry best practices. Monitor and address technical SEO issues as needed. Collaboration & Communication Work closely with Account Managers to understand client goals, requirements, and project priorities. Collaborate with designers and marketing team members to ensure websites align with branding and campaign objectives. Provide technical recommendations and solutions to improve website performance and functionality. Participate in team meetings and communicate project progress, timelines, and potential roadblocks. Quality Assurance Conduct thorough testing before website launches and updates. Verify functionality, responsiveness, forms, integrations, and user experience across devices and browsers. Ensure all deliverables meet Next Wave Services' quality standards before deployment. Qualifications 2+ years of experience building and managing websites on Wix or Wix Studio. Experience with Velo by Wix and custom code implementation. Strong understanding of responsive web design principles. Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and web development best practices. Experience with SEO fundamentals and website optimization. Familiarity with CRM systems, marketing integrations, automation tools, and third-party applications. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a remote work environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience migrating websites from other platforms to Wix. Familiarity with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console, and related reporting tools. Ability to read, write, and speak in English. Knowledge of UX/UI best practices and conversion-focused website design. Experience with API integrations and advanced automation workflows.
