# Wix Velo Back-End Developer Needed for Handover, Audit, Automation & Multilingual Site Support We run a meal delivery business in Japan. Our website is built on Wix, and we are looking for an experienced Wix Velo / back-end developer to help us understand, clean up, document, and improve our current backend systems. We currently have an IT person who has helped build parts of the system, but he is very busy and may need to hand things over. We are planning to collect backend handover notes from him, and we need a new developer to help review those notes, audit the current setup, and create a clearer backend structure moving forward. This is not just a design job. We need someone who understands Wix backend, Velo, CMS/database collections, forms, automations, order flows, subscriptions, customer workflows, and multilingual website setup. The first step is to look, map, document, and explain — not immediately start changing things. ## First Project: Backend Handover + Audit The first job is to help us review the current Wix backend and produce a clear, simple handover/audit document. You will be expected to review: * Wix/Velo custom code * CMS/database collections * Forms and customer submission flows * Product and subscription setup * Customer order flow * Meal plan submission process * PDF/menu workflow * Nutritionist/admin workflow * Current automations * Email delivery options * Multilingual site setup * Translation structure and language switching * Any third-party integrations * Any fragile, messy, undocumented, or risky parts of the current setup We are also expecting to receive handover notes from the current IT person. Part of this job may include helping us understand those notes and turn them into something useful. ## Multilingual Requirement Our business operates in Japan, and the website may need to support multiple languages. We need someone who understands how multilingual websites work in Wix and can help us with: * Wix multilingual setup * Translation structure * Language switchers * Page duplication or dynamic multilingual content * Making sure forms, buttons, emails, and customer flows make sense across languages * Avoiding messy or broken translations across the site You do not need to be a professional translator, but you must understand multilingual website structure and be able to work with translated content properly. Japanese language ability is a bonus, but it is not required if you are experienced with multilingual Wix sites. ## What We Want Delivered We need a clear document that explains: * How the current backend works * What has already been built * What depends on what * What should not be touched without care * What is currently manual * What could be automated * What is risky or poorly documented * What should be fixed first * What can be done inside Wix * What may need external tools * How the multilingual structure should be handled The document should be written in simple English for a non-technical business owner. We do not want a confusing technical report full of jargon.
