Summary

Project "Oasicily": Web Ecosystem for IoT Adoptions and Biodiversity Protection The Oasicily project stems from the desire of the Azienda Agricola Buscemi to combine the millennial agricultural tradition of Sicily (specifically, the buffer zone of the Sicani Mountains Nature Reserve) with the rigor of IoT (Internet of Things) technology. The goal is to fight "Greenwashing" by offering citizens and companies the opportunity to protect biodiversity by supporting real, visible, and technologically verifiable projects. Our benchmark models on the market are successful platforms such as 3Bee, Piantando, Olivami, and Melixa. We want to take the best from these realities—the immersive experience on one hand, the technological monitoring on the other—and merge them into a single, higher-level platform, scalable globally. Currently, the visual and narrative architecture is hosted on a temporary site created with Wix. All the material (texts, photos, videos, streaming links, and charts) is already prepared. ⚙️ IT Infrastructure: Freedom of Choice For the development of the final platform, we offer you two paths, depending on what you consider most performant and secure: Use the existing infrastructure: We already have a server on AWS Lightsail with WordPress installed and the Elementor Pro environment configured. You can start from here, migrate the content from Wix, and develop the required complex logics (WooCommerce, Membership, API Integration). Create everything from scratch: If you believe the project's needs require a custom framework or a different architecture to ensure maximum performance, you are free to propose and develop a completely built-from-scratch IT solution, provided it meets all the requested functionalities. 🛒 1. The Commercial Core: E-commerce and Shared Adoptions The platform's engine will manage both the sale of physical products and the complex digital adoption system. The fundamental rules of this section are: Shared Adoption (Fundamental Logic): The same physical or multimedia element (e.g., a Bird Box with a camera or a beehive) can be "shared" and adopted by tens or hundreds of people simultaneously. The purchase must not remove the item from the catalog. Subscriptions and Single Payments: Private individuals can choose whether to make a one-off adoption or subscribe to a recurring plan (e.g., 3, 6, or 12 months) to maintain prolonged access to their reserved area. Physical Products Shop: A classic e-commerce for the sale of local agricultural products. We will start with Extra Virgin Olive Oil, but the structure must be ready to accommodate oranges, almonds, and honey in the future. Post-Sale Automation: Upon completing the purchase, the system will send an automatic email in the user's language containing digital materials (PDF Certificate, illustrated kit, paper toy) and login credentials for the Reserved Area. 🔐 2. The Reserved Areas: Two Parallel Worlds (B2C vs B2B) From the main menu, all users will log into the same "Custodians Area" (Area Custodi), but the system must route them towards two diametrically opposed interfaces and user experiences. The Private Individuals Area (B2C): Emotion and Nature The citizen seeks a tangible emotional connection. In this area, there will be no complex data or charts, only immersive content: Continuous Live Streaming to observe life in the nests or beehives. Bioacoustics modules to listen to the songs of birds recorded and identified on the estate. Elegant visual galleries gathering content from solar trail cameras, drone videos, and macro photography of the fauna. The Corporate Channel (B2B): Transparency, CSR, and IoT Data Companies invest for their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Their journey is divided into two phases: Pre-Purchase (Showcase and Lead Generation): A highly professional public area where companies discover CSR solutions and can request quotes for "tailor-made" hybrid packages (e.g., 1 hectare of forest + cattle with satellite collars). Post-Purchase (Data Dashboard): A private panel hosting Grafana dashboards (provided by us and embedded via iFrame) with data coming from field sensors: beehive weight, bee counter, weather data. GPS Tracking (Technical Requirement): The cattle wear collars that communicate via TCP/IP Socket. It will be necessary to configure a TCP listener to receive, decode, and save this data in the database connected to Grafana. Reporting: A secure area to download Sustainability Reports (GRI) and manage electronic invoicing and VAT exemptions (VIES). 🌍 3. Multilingual Architecture The goal is to scale to international markets right from the launch. The entire platform (front-end, e-commerce, reserved areas, and automatic emails) must be flawless in 5 languages: Italian (Main language) English French German Japanese 🎥 4. Window on the Woods: Public Magnet Independent of the private areas, the site will host a page accessible to anyone without logging in. It will contain a YouTube player with a 24/7 live stream of a camera pointed at a feeder for wildlife. The mood will echo channels like "Live forest Bird", acting as a visual magnet to generate traffic and monetize through views.
