Wood Framing Take Off

We are looking for an experienced construction estimator to complete a wood framing takeoff for 3 construction project. The scope of work includes reviewing the project plans, identifying all wood framing requirements, calculating material quantities, and preparing a clear, organized estimate that can be used for budgeting and procurement. The ideal candidate should have experience with construction estimating, framing takeoffs, and reading architectural and structural plans. This is a small, part-time project, but accuracy and attention to detail are very important. Responsibilities include: Review architectural and structural drawings Perform a detailed wood framing material takeoff Calculate quantities for lumber, beams, headers, blocking, sheathing, hardware, and related framing materials as applicable Prepare a detailed estimate in a clear spreadsheet or takeoff format Identify any missing information, assumptions, or plan discrepancies Deliver the completed takeoff by the agreed deadline Requirements: Experience with wood framing takeoffs and construction estimating Ability to read and interpret construction drawings Strong attention to detail Ability to work independently Experience with residential or light commercial construction preferred Familiarity with estimating software is a plus, but not required Deliverables: Complete wood framing material takeoff Organized quantity breakdown by material type and/or plan area Notes on assumptions, exclusions, and any questions from the drawings Please include examples of similar takeoff or estimating work you have completed, along with your availability and expected turnaround time.
