WordPress Developer: Custom Plugin & Landing Page and Homepage Overhaul

Description: We are looking for an experienced, detail-oriented WordPress developer to overhaul elements of an existing website and custom course application. Scope of Work: 1. Custom Course Plugin Modifications: - Review and modify an existing, isolated custom-built plugin managing course content. - Restructure course templates and heading/text logic as outlined in our technical corrections document. - Ensure user progression and historical database data do not break when making these alterations. 2. Access Control & Content Protection: - Overlay a lightweight content protection layer on top of the custom plugin to secure pages from unauthorised or non-paying users. Note this is an off-the-shelf pre-built plugin. 3. Stripe Payment Gateway & Landing Page: - Build a new landing page layout based on a provided layout brief. - Connect a lightweight Stripe checkout module to process single-payment course access. Standard plugin should suffice. - Mandatory Validation: Implement a hard checkbox at checkout requiring users to agree to our legal Terms & Conditions and Disclaimers before the payment engine processes the transaction. 4. Frontend Design Refresh: - Restructure approximately 25% of the current homepage layout to incorporate a new introductory section, an animation asset loop container, and a streamlined video player. - Ensure all elements are 100% responsive, optimised for performance, and pixel-perfect across desktop and mobile. 5. System Cleanup & Maintenance: - Clean up the database, optimise page speeds, and safely configure WP core/plugin background updates to automatically update.
